Paremata Plimmerton Rugby Football Club (ParePlim) proudly calls the shores of Porirua Harbour home, nestled in the north of Wellington.
Formed from a 1959 merger between two historic clubs, Paremata (est. 1946) and Plimmerton (est. 1932), we honour our roots each season with the traditional “Battle of the Bridge” clash, a tribute to the bridge that once divided us and now unites us.
As the largest junior club in the Wellington Region, ParePlim continues to grow, with 485 junior players across 36 teams in 2026. At the heart of our club is a strong whānau atmosphere, where generations of families come together each Saturday at Ngāti Toa Domain.
Our senior grades are a proud mix, including Premier Men’s 1 and 2, Premier Women’s, Colts, U85kg, Reserve and Presidents teams.
We are proud of our connection to Ngāti Toa Rangatira and share a strong relationship with our local iwi and community. Our Year 8 players celebrate the close of their junior journey with a noho at Hongoeka Marae and proudly wear our specially designed Mangōpare jersey, a meaningful tradition that reflects our identity and connection to the area.
This year, we’re excited to travel to Taupō once again for the NZ Junior Rugby Festival, with teams representing the U10, U11, U12 and U13 grades.
We’re also proud to be taking girls’ teams to the NZ Junior Girls Rugby Festival in Taupō, with U10/11 and U12/13 Tackle teams representing ParePlim and showcasing the growing strength of girls’ rugby within our club.
At ParePlim, rugby is about more than what happens on the field. It is about whānau, community, connection, opportunity and creating a place where every player can belong. We are proud of our history, excited about our future and committed to continuing to grow rugby for our tamariki and our wider community.
