At PRC we have been using CrewLAB for the past three seasons with our secondary school rowers. The 2025-26 season was the first where it was used across the club including our parents, master, and supporters.

The ability to track a rowers progress from week to week, month to month, season to season is one of the main reasons that we offer this product to all members.

Thanks to CrewLAB and RowingNZ for making this video possible.

🎄Karapiro Rowing Incorporated Christmas Regatta 2025 Finals Results🎄

A mighty effort from our group of rowers over the weekend, seven A Finals, and 3 B Finals!

Congrats to Harrison - 2nd in the Mens Intermediate single sculls, and Constance - 2nd in the Womens Open and Club single sculls, along with a 1st in the Womens Open coxless quad in a Star Composite crew.

The regatta this year had 2425 competitors, so to make finals was a spectacular achievement. Unfortunately not all on our group could achieve this mark, but will return home with the determination to improve on individual performances at the next regatta in January.

Thanks to Pelorus Trust for supporting our rowers with a grant of $6000 for the Travel and Accommodation costs!

Norton Cup Regatta 2025
The PoriruaRC crews got their first taste of 2000m racing of the season last weekend.

Te Whanganui-a-Tara was spectacular, the sun shining, and our crews had some outstanding performances.

At the end of the regatta we had finished with five wins, four seconds and four thirds. A huge effort from each of our 21 rowers and 2 coxswains who competed at this regatta.

Shout out to the novice boys who placed 3rd in division one of the Mens' Novice Coxed Four, an amazing result in their first fours race!

Please be aware as a parent there will be a process to go through to be registered with Rowing New Zealand. The registration link for PRC will go live later this week.

For the 2025/26 rowing season, there's a new process in place -everyone involved in rowing must now register individually with Rowing New Zealand through Rowing Connect, RNZ’s new membership system.

This change supports a nationwide move to align with the updated Incorporated Societies Act and the new RNZ Constitution. You’ll receive your personal Rowing Connect registration link directly from your club or school. Registration is free and required for all rowers, coxswains, coaches, volunteers, parents, committee members, and anyone wanting to be involved in rowing. Once registered, rowers’ details will automatically be transferred to rowIT, allowing coaches to easily enter athletes into regattas.

Be sure to check in with your club or school to receive your registration link and get registered for the upcoming season.
