JafaKids - MTB Academy The JAFA MTB Academy focuses on developing mountain bike riders, aged between 11-19 years In doing so the focus is on fun, skills and fitness training.

The JAFAKIDS - MTB Academy focuses on developing mountain bike riders aged between 11-19 years, beginner or expert, boys, and girls, within the greater Auckland region. Specifically, it’s about cross-country (XC) trail riding, learning to ride the natural obstacles you find on single track and getting fit to enjoy the kilometres of trail networks in our region. The JAFAKIDS are coached on a weekly

basis throughout the year by our Head Coach and a crew of volunteer coaches. Rides are held on Wednesdays in Woodhill or Riverhead forests, in groups on a variable calendar. There are three riding groups, each aimed at different development levels and an appropriate balance of fun, skills development, and racing.

Looks like it was wet and muddy on the weekend for Round 3 of the AKL Schools XC at South Head! We have been shared some awesome photos and videos. Add yours here!

Once again we had a great turnout of Jafa's representing in these first 3 rounds of the XC series, we had 39 Jafa's in Round 1 in Hunua; 47 in Round 2 in Waitawa; and 41 over the weekend in South Head.

Our Club had a massive representation with 55 of our members taking part at the recent North Island Secondary Schools MTB Champs held in Tauranga, with some awesome results, with many making it onto the podiums. It was a well run event and it looked like everyone had a ball. If you have photos pop them on this feed!
