Really neat to see Geoff and Deb recognised this way. I've raced 2 major races under their capable hands, the 2019 RNZ and the 2026 RNI. Thanks for making these races possible!

At this year's AGM, SSANZ was proud to award Life Membership to Geoff Herd and Deb Williams in recognition of their exceptional contribution to the organisation and the sport of offshore sailing.

Through many years of dedication to race management, Geoff and Deb have played a vital role in delivering SSANZ events, most recently the Doyle Sails Round North Island Race. Their commitment, professionalism, and countless volunteer hours have helped create safe, successful, and memorable experiences for competitors and supporters alike.

Life Membership recognises individuals whose service has made a lasting impact on the association and its members.

Congratulations Geoff and Deb, and thank you for everything you have contributed to SSANZ and the wider sailing community.

Race day problems!!

After breaking our vang attachment in the RNI and some help in Waikawa to make the rest of the race we’ve uplevelled the vang attachment with the help of Gulf Harbour Marine. It’s a great job. Really happy, thanks Rob and Josh!
