Nominations for the AGM closed on Monday, 8 June 2026 at 5.30pm for the AGM to be held on Saturday, 4 July 2026 at 1pm. We received nominations for a number of positions as follows:
President - Dean Chandler (elected unopposed)
Vice President - Henry Te Moni (elected unopposed)
Treasurer - Paul Rowlands (elected unopposed)
Secretary - No nominations received (will be taken from floor on the day).
Committee - Natalie Gausel, Zane Hodge, Athol Robertson, Inoke, Chip Kerr, Mark Arrandale and Kim Bardsley (election to be held unless one of these people agree to go on as Secretary - due to a maximum of 10 people on the Committee).
Congratulations to Dean, Henry and Paul for being elected unopposed. We are also very grateful for our patron (Lindsay Cameron aka Fritz) to agree to continuing with his appointment.
One notice of motion has been received and will be on the agenda for the day - "That all Club Championships and any club events that require costly engraving, charge a starting fee of $2.00 per person. Rational - That money raised can be returned to any person that uses their motor vehicle for club interests. This includes any teams that travel outside our area, for example Piopio or Raglan". The notice of motion is not supported by the Committee due to the club fees themselves being increased only last year, but will be discussed on the day.
Following the AGM we will have prizegiving (undertaken by current President), then followed by some quiz time on bowls etiquette, laws and some measuring/head building exercises.
No kai required to be bought by members as the Committee have agreed to provide pizzas for afternoon tea/snacks during quiz.
