Thank you so much to everyone who came along to the MPPC Novice Ribbon Day or contributed in some way to make it so successful! We've had some fantastic feedback and are stoked that you all enjoyed it - there were certainly a lot of faces full of smiles and necks full of ribbons!! We were very lucky to have an incredible group of knowledgeable, supportive judges who probably spent as much time instructing and encouraging as they did judging - thank you to all of you for taking the time out of your busy lives.

We are very grateful to everyone who dug deep into their pockets and bought raffle tickets. The winners were drawn by the lovely Jeannie Ryan:

3 days to go!! And so far the weather looks like it might just play the game (touch wood! 🤞🤞🤞) ...

We are very excited about the number of entries we have received - so awesome to see so many getting out and about and giving it a go! We're planning a great day with lots of fun for all 🦄 🦄🐴🐴.

An email will be winging its way to all our entrants shortly with a few important details - please read this carefully so you can have the most enjoyable day possible!

And we are well overdue for a mention of some of our lovely sponsors ... a huge shout out to Four Square Pirongia for donating the bread for our yummy bbq and to PAK 'n SAVE Te Awamutu for helping us out with other goodies to keep you fed and watered throughout the day!

Entries to the Novice Ribbon Day are CLOSING in just 2 days on Wednesday night!!

While we might be able to squeeze you in after Wednesday (if you ask really nicely 😁), we have at least two classes that are very close to maximum capacity (yep, even after we split them!), so we can’t make any guarantees.

JUST ONE WEEK TO GO! Have you got your entry in yet?? Several of our classes are looking pretty chocka so make sure you email us at [email protected] with your details if you want to enter.

And what would a ribbon day be without a delicious BBQ and some tasty treats to keep us all going for the day? Thanks to the fantastic team at Vetora Waikato, who have kindly allowed us to use their super flash bbq set-up, we'll be able to rustle you up some scrumptious snags for lunch! Legends! And of course we'll have yummy home baked treats, drinks and sweets to keep all the kids (big and small) going for the day.

Right, now that we've all had our fill of Easter chocolate (sorry ponies! ), we're onto the final countdown to our Ribbon Day! A number of the rings are filling fast (yep, we can split them, but we only have limited space ...), so get your entry in asap to secure your space!

Happy hump day everyone! Here's some great news to get you through to the long weekend ....

We wanted to do something a little different at the MPPC Novice Ribbon Day, so we came up with a competition to recognise those awesome riders who truly demonstrate the spirit of Equestrian Sports NZ / New Zealand Pony Clubs campaign.
Any rider can be nominated on the day - by a parent, judge, steward, spectator, supporter or even a fellow rider! Just drop the nomination in the box at the clubhouse and the winner will be announced that afternoon!

And the prize?? Watch this space for the next exciting announcement!!

So make sure you get your entries in for this fantastic event - remember to email them to [email protected]

The countdown is on, with less than 3 weeks to go, and the entries are coming in thick and fast! 😅😅

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - RING UPDATE!

Please note that the LEAD REIN and JUST OFF LEAD rings will NOT have an age limitation (no longer under 10yrs). We realise that kids start riding at all ages, and we want to encourage everyone to have a go. If we have a wide variety of ages in these rings, we may split the rings closer to the time. 🦄🐴🦄🐴
