Marina 2 Marina Marina 2 Marina is a scenic annual running event in the heart of the Marlborough Sounds. Kids Dash a 2km dash around Picton Marina for 5 to 9 year olds.

With a variety of walking or running courses to choose from, this event is suitable for all levels of fitness. This unique competition utilises the picturesque trails between Picton, Waikawa and Anakiwa. The four courses take you through native bush and along waterfront trails. A key feature is the panoramic views of the Marlborough Sounds that this event provides. You will finish at the event hub

on Picton waterfront where a festival atmosphere will welcome you home. The Link, a 24km run (with optional boat cruise) from Anakiwa to Picton. The Snout a 13km run or walk from Picton Marina to the end of the Snout and back. Marina 2 Marina a 9km run or walk from Picton Marina to Waikawa Marina and back.

A big shoutout to , proud sponsors of The Snout 13km!

The Snout is one of our most challenging (and rewarding!) courses, with plenty of hills, native bush and some pretty incredible views along the way.

Tall Poppy are also providing our placement prizes for The Snout, giving those speedy runners at the front a little something extra to race for.

A big shoutout to our friends at Marlborough, who’ll once again be helping us keep Marina 2 Marina zero-waste on race day.

They’ll be there with their Zero-Waste Trailer, washing reusable cups and dishes, collecting food scraps for composting and helping make sure our event leaves as little behind as possible.

With thousands of cups, plenty of hungry runners and a busy event village, it’s a pretty important job, and we’re incredibly grateful to have them on board.

Thanks Envirohub Marlborough for helping us look after this pretty special place we get to run, walk and explore ❤️

A little reminder for the corporate crews…

If you’ve been talking about getting the work team together for Marina 2 Marina, it’s time to round everyone up and get those entries in!

Our 2026 Corporate Competition is on, with a $200 Work Shout from Urban Fare Wairau up for grabs for the company with the highest number of entries.

Run it, walk it, make it competitive or just enjoy a day out of the office together, every entry with your business name counts towards your team total.

A few important bits:

🏃 Make sure everyone enters their business name when registering
🏃 The company with the most entries takes the $200 Work Shout
🏃 All qualifying entries must be completed online by 5pm, Friday 2 October 2026

Marina 2 Marina doesn’t have to be about chasing a personal best. It really can be about getting outside, taking on a challenge together, having a laugh along the way and soaking up some seriously good Marlborough Sounds views.

Run it, walk it, talk the whole way - we don’t judge, its al about having fun and getting out there and doing it.

Another pretty epic prize has been added to our Marina 2 Marina spot prize pool thanks to the team at !

A day exploring one of the Marlborough Sounds’ most beautiful spots after all that training? Yes please.

Keeping our runners hydrated!

A big thank you to .fc for supporting Marina 2 Marina 2026 and generously providing a $300 voucher towards supplies for our water stations on race day.

Whether you’re tackling 10km, 13km or the full 24km, those water stations are a VERY welcome sight along the way.

It takes plenty of local support to bring an event like Marina 2 Marina together, and we’re incredibly grateful to have FreshChoice Picton helping us look after our runners out on course.
