QCC U15 Wāhine Rugby – Training Starts Today!

Exciting news for our young wāhine keen to play rugby this season! Queen Charlotte College will be fielding an U15 Wāhine team in the 2026 Tasman Competition, and training starts today.

📅 Monday 16th March
⏰ 4.00pm – 5.30pm
📍 QCC Rugby Field

All players are welcome, whether you’ve played before or want to come along and give rugby a go.

For players who live in Blenheim, Belinda can assist with transport home after training.

Bring your boots, a drink bottle, and mouthguard.

Both teams will be proudly Lacing Up for Lachie in support of the Child Cancer Foundation, wearing our yellow laces to honour the memory of Lachie. Thanks again to Marama & Nick Beattie for sponsoring the team their laces. 💛

A huge thank you to Nick and Marama Beattie from BT Construction for sponsoring our QCC U15 team with a pair of Lachie’s Laces each. We’re proud to accept the Lace Up challenge to honour the memory of Lachie.
We want to keep the challenge going! We nominate Marlborough Girls College to lace up for this week’s game. We’ll see you at Spring Creek, kick-off 5 pm, let’s both show our support on the field.
Lachie’s Laces are $5 a pair, with every cent going to help children and families facing the toughest battle. You can grab yours locally at Haven Cafe in Blenheim.
Let’s get behind this amazing cause and help make a difference together. 💛

Awesome day of rugby for a few of our girls! 🏉✨

Big thanks to Melissa and Marlborough Girls’ College for inviting some of our players to join in for a combined game yesterday. It was such a great opportunity for the girls who took part to connect, learn, and play some fantastic rugby together.

It was also awesome to be able to play an Australian team and even better to come away with a win! 🙌🏉🇦🇺🇳🇿

Really looking forward to more chances like this in the future!
