Hi all. I’ve donated part proceeds to Vadas Angels Animal Rescue Tauranga for Duncan. His story is up on their page …. Thanks again everyone for coming and supporting. Would you guess it … all the extra spot prizes finally arrived two days after the ribbon day LOL. So next Ribbon Day will be a bumper one for cool spot prizes in the rings …. Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks Tania Adolph for these few pics 👍🏻

Thanks so much to everyone who entered yesterday’s Ribbon Day. Fabulous weather, lots of smiles and fun. A huge shout out to our judges and stewards, what an awesome job you all did. Wishing Courtney a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹 on her ankle.

It’s always a busy, long day, I was in bed pretty early 😆 thanks to those who cleaned up after their horses 🐴 too.

I still have a huge amount of recycled ribbons so no doubt towards the end of year there will be another ribbon day!

THANKS AGAN everyone. Once I have reconciled monies in and out, the balance will be going to a horse or animal charity.

On ANZAC Day, we pause to remember those who served in war.

That includes the animals.

Horses carried soldiers into battle, pigeons delivered messages, and dogs helped the wounded. Many other animals played pivotal roles.

They had no say in the wars they were sent to fight, but they showed courage and loyalty.

Many were injured, and many were left behind, never making it home.

Lest we forget them.

Hey all. Two more sleeps to Ribbon Day. A few reminders:

A yellow tagged helmet is required to ride.

Appropriate footwear when handling and riding.

Gates open from 8am.

No dogs please.

Plaiting is optional.

Please ensure your entry fees are paid by tonight (if you haven’t already paid).

No entries on the day, or payments on the day (will be busy!) 😁

Remember there is a fun Hobby Horse class that’s free to enter about 11am. Two categories, Adults and Kids. Bling up your outdoor broom with sequins, feather boas and other bits of bling!! Remember to name your Broom LOL🤩

Please clean up after your horses. I will not have the energy or time at the end of the day to do any p**p scooping so bring a bucket and spade to clean up! 🙏👍🏻👍🏻

Weather looks fabulous for Sunday 🙂

Drive safe and see you all then. Please watch this page for any updates prior to Sunday morning….

Hi all, entries will open up this week. I am still in need of one judge and a steward, I will sort that out this week. Rings will be

Lead rein/First Ridden
9am start
In hand first (sashes for Champion and reserve) a 15 minute break to tack up/change if needed and then onto ridden (Champion and Reserve champion sashes for ridden too). These sashes are new not recycled. While this is one ring, classes will be split for lead rein and first ridden 🙂

Nervous Nellies (for genuinely nervous riders 16+)
9am start
Same as above, in hand first, Champion and Reserve Champion then 15 minute break and onto ridden (Champion and Reserve Champion sashes).

***A BIT OF FRIVOLITY***
Hobby Horse classes

Happy Hackers
11:30am
In hand first, 15 minute break then onto ridden classes. Sashes for Champion and Reserve Champion for both in hand and ridden sections.

Cost $48 which INCLUDES the $10 ground fee per horse. This covers in hand and ridden.

Rings are limited to 14 total - this is for the safety of all.

Yellow tagged helmets will be required.

Part proceeds to horse and animal rescue who so desperately need funding and help.

I think that’s it for an update for now 🙂

Cheers all 😁 have a good week! Get your tummies ready for chocolate and hot cross buns next weekend LOL 😝

02/03/2026

Hey all, been a really busy work day! So we will have three rings on the day. A combined lead rein/first ridden ring with both in hand and ridden classes starting at 9am. Our signature Nervous Nellies ring with a few in hand and ridden classes also starting at 9am.

And for something completely different and for a few chuckles, two Hobby Horse classes at the conclusion of the two 9am rings. One for adults and one for kids - wide sashes for those! (New). Either store bought hobby horses or feel free to bling up your best outdoor broom with sequins and feather boas!! 🤣

A Happy Hacker ring starting no earlier than 11:30am.

We’ll also have a colouring competition running for the under 8’s, and an art competition for the 8-15 year olds. Kids would bring their art with them and drop into the ‘office’ - all entries go home with a lolly 🍬 bag and winners with horse related prizes 🤩 will be judged before lunchtime. (I will put the colouring in template up a few werks prior).

Recycled ribbons (in good condition) for classes, to 6th place. All sashes are new.

I’m off to visit friends and family in Perth next week for 11 days so entries will be open when I get back.

Thanks all 🙏 enjoy your week and the cooler days! Hug your horses and ponies and remember to put carrots/apples or peppermints in your pockets 😊
