💚 A HUGE THANK YOU TO THE LAKES RESORT – PĀUANUI
There are plenty of people who help make Laps at the Lakes what it is, but there’s one pretty important piece of the puzzle we simply couldn’t do without.
The Lakes Resort – Pāuanui.
For one day each year, we’re incredibly lucky to be given access to this beautiful golf course and allowed to send a bunch of runners and walkers around its paths for 6 or 12 hours.
These paths aren’t normally open to the public. This really is a once-a-year opportunity, and it’s a privilege we certainly don’t take for granted.
On Saturday, more than 120 weapons took to the loop and collectively covered over 3,000km beneath an absolutely glorious Pāuanui spring sky. ☀️
And the course looked bloody magnificent.
That’s even more impressive when you consider the damage the team has had to overcome following the severe flooding that dumped hundreds of tonnes of silt across the back nine. The amount of work that has clearly gone into bringing the course back is massive, and it was awesome to see it looking so good on Saturday.
So to the owners, management, grounds crew and everyone behind The Lakes Resort - Pāuanui...thank you.
Thank you for trusting us with your course.
Thank you for welcoming our slightly unusual little event.
And thank you for allowing 120+ people to spend a day finding out just how far they could go.
Laps at the Lakes simply doesn’t happen without you.
We’re bloody grateful. 💚
Work hard. Stay humble. And look after the places that allow us to do what we love.
