THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER! 🎉
The new carpet green is looking fantastic — and we know there will be plenty of you itching to get out there!
But please, hands off the green for just a little longer! 😁
While it looks pretty much finished, there are still a few important finishing jobs to be completed. The surrounding areas are also still out of bounds.
🚫 STRICTLY NO PLAYING ON THE NEW GREEN YET!
Our official opening is Monday 21 September, and that’s when we can finally get the bowls rolling.
We know it’s tempting… but please resist the urge to sneak on for “just one end”! 😂
A little patience now will help make sure our new green is in top condition for many years to come.
Nearly there team - it’s going to be amazing ! 🥳

You may have 6 people in your team - if that helps!!!

See you there. Come early, have tea at the Club, buy your raffle tickets and look at what is happening on the bowling green. All proceeds are still going to pay for the work being done!!!

Work has begun!!! The first bucket of soil was dug out this morning and trucked away. Many more to follow. Excited onlookers included bowlers, staff from the Club and the local PreSchool Children. Let's hope the weather stays as it is so work can continue uninterrupted!

to everyone who contributed to a fantastic afternoon saying goodbye to our grass green. From those who donated raffle prizes and auction items to those of you who took part in the competitions on the green. Today is probably the only time you will see a golf hole with a Richardsons flag in on a bowling green or John McConnell digging the turf up!

Tuesday 28 July and the work has started for our new carpet green. Some of the gardens around the edge have to be dug up to allow the "real work" to begin so Jamie, Bev, Marj and Anne got stuck in and cleared the first bit!

Raising funds for a new all-weather carpet green for the Pauanui Bowling Club. This will replace our very tired, sad grass green.

Congratulations Kaye on winning the Thames Valley Junior Open Singles today at Tui Park. We are all very proud of your achievements in your first year of bowling. Well done to Sandra Morris from our neighbouring club, Tairua for being runner-up.
