We’ve been made aware that our Round 2 draw would breach Anzac Day legislation.

As a result, all JAB fixtures scheduled for tomorrow are CANCELLED.

We know this is disappointing, but we appreciate your understanding as we respect the significance of Anzac Day.

Poverty Bay Rugby’s WEKA (Under-5) programme is a fantastic way to introduce kids to rugby in a fun, supportive environment.
All the details are in the post below.

📣 The Weka Program is being relaunched!

Poverty Bay Rugby is proud to deliver a 5-week program this February, designed to give under-5 players a fun introduction to what rugby is all about. The focus of these sessions will be on running, balance and coordination, catching and passing, and—most importantly—having fun. A parent is required to get involved and participate alongside their child.

Unfortunately due to the weather, saturated fields and player wellbeing in mind. We have made the tough decision to cancel our Wairoa/Ngatapa exchange tomorrow.

I would like to thank the teams that were a part of our 2025 nipper rugby prizegiving tonight.
We have had another good season with some amazing games played by our teams. It's great to see so much green on the fields. Thank you to all the parents for getting your kids to trainings and the games on a Saturday morning, especially those that are traveling in from all over the district. All this wouldn't be possible without the support from our awesome club that we are all part of, VetEast for their sponsorship, and our committee for backing our junior rugby.
But most importantly, I would like to thank our coaches and managers, without them we wouldnt have the teams we have.
Their dedication and the time they put in not only on the field but also behind the scenes that nobody sees is greatly appreciated.
See you all you in Wairoa for the last game of 2025 and lets bring the cup home!!!
