Whānau Fit ’72 is a free community fitness initiative in Patutahi, Gisborne, 4072, focused on strengthening whānau and community through movement and connection.

Congratulations to Demi for hitting her 100th class this morning. Demi joined us at the beginning of the year and has been one of our regulars every morning. She has achieved so much this year and we can’t wait to see what the future holds! Ka mau te wehi, whanaunga! 💯🙏🏼🤩

As we farewelled our uso Peter this morning island styles, we also congratulated our latest inductee to the 2026 centurion club!! A stalwart of our whare, Angie has long been a supporter of WF’72. Over the last year Angie and Hubby Hoolio have flourished in the space. They are more than just regulars at class, but are regular contributors to the kaupapa via koha, via sponsorship and via their own time and resources to help maintain and grow what is Whānau Fit ‘72. Cousin Angie, enjoy your time on the ai beach and we’ll see you apopo for class 101 🫡😂

Our first centurion for 2026!! Every year our attendance board starts over, and this morning we had our first member getting to 100 classes. Coach Ko, today we celebrate your commitment to yourself, your community and the kaupapa that is Whānau Fit ‘72. Leading from the front and always doing the do. To put it into perspective, coach Ko has only been unavailable for 6 classes the entire year 🤯

💥 WF72 is FREE! No utu (cost)!
💥 Classes are capped, so bookings are essential so if you’re not a member and keen to come along, please give us a message and we’ll book you in accordingly.
