Learn essential waka ama safety knowledge and skills to implement. Focus is on learning about safety equipment, rigging and launching waka, safety practices, rules and regulations, righting waka, communication procedures, conditions, and navigation tools.

We encourage all our waka ama whānau to complete this course; paddler, non-paddler, coach, parent, kaitūao, supporter, teacher, or whānau.

Once you have enrolled and paid, you will be sent login details via email.

Ka aroha whanau, we were planning to get out on the awa but until further notice, it isn't safe.
The rain last week has caused sewerage problems and the water is paru.
Our water quality is being tested today and we will know more on Thursday.
As soon as we get the all clear we will post and get out there as much as we can over the summer.

Unfortunately, bad weather has led to postponing today’s Club Day! The weather is hard to plan around here in South Taranaki but it will be more stable as we move torward summer.

Next open event is for Sunday 2 November 10am.
