What a great day out today! Lots of fish weighed in and the competition is definitely heating up.

Thanks so much for all the of the fish donated today, the residents of Te Mahana Rest Home are going to love a feed of fresh fish.

📣 BREAKING NEWS: Trans Tasman Resources have today announced they’re withdrawing from the Fast Track!

This is not TTR’s first retreat. After years of fighting this company and winning time and time again Kiwis Against Seabed Mining are noticing a pattern.
They have now lost, or withdrawn in the face of losing, across the three highest courts in the country, the EPA decision-making committee, and now the Fast Track Panel. That makes this effectively the sixth major regulatory defeat.

There's one common denominator here. It's not the processes failing, it's TTR repeatedly failing to meet the most basic of environmental standards.

Have the wannabe seabed miners finally realised that it’s just not happening? Or are they trying to yet again avoid a formal rejection?

Either way — today all of you, our wonderful KASM whānau can celebrate that we’ve won yet again 💙

Epic fishing day off Patea for the "The Mistress" yesterday in the comp. Kingis were on - Scotty cracked a 20 kilo, Tess managed a 8.5 and Xavier and Andrea Smith both in there with 7's and even Stuballs got in amongst the action too. Well done to the Fisher's and Smith's.
