🌺🏑 **KĀPITI HOCKEY AGM & 30TH ANNIVERSARY LUAU PRIZEGIVING!** 🏑🌺

This year’s Prizegiving is extra special — **Kāpiti Coast Hockey Club is celebrating 30 years!** 🎉

We’d love all our players, whānau, supporters, life members, past members and friends of the Club to join us as we celebrate the 2026 season and three decades of Kāpiti hockey.

🌴 **Saturday 26 September 2026**

🗳️ **Club AGM – 4.30pm**
Come along and hear about the year that’s been, what’s ahead for our Club, and have your say in our future.

🏆 **Prizegiving – 5.30pm sharp**
Then it’s time to celebrate our players, teams, volunteers and all those who make our Club what it is.

🌺 **Theme: LUAU PARTY!**
Thirty years deserves a proper celebration, so break out the Hawaiian shirts, leis and tropical gear and help us **party like it’s 1996!** 🍍🌴🌺

🍽️ **Meals are available by pre-order.**

Ready to get back on the turf or give hockey a go for the very first time? Now’s your chance! 💥

Whether you’ve never picked up a stick or you’ve played at a representative level, everyone is welcome at our club. It’s not too late to join the season – come be part of a fun, friendly, and supportive environment where there’s a place for every player.

WHA is closely monitoring the situation with Cyclone Vaianu, which is expected to impact the Wellington region tomorrow. Current forecasts are indicating periods of heavy rain and strong winds across the region, with weather watches already in place.

At this stage, ALL scheduled Sunday matches will proceed as NORMAL.

We will continue to monitor updates from Wellington Region Emergency Management Office and will provide a further update tomorrow morning at 10:00am if there are any changes.

Please keep an eye on our social channels for any further updates.

Kapiti Teams Announced for 2026

Here we go! Here's the initial team lists for 2026. There may still be some movement, or new players to be added - but the coaches, managers, selectors and senior payers have worked really hard to put together well balanced squads

Register now - Early Bird Discount Extended.

We've also extend the Early Bird Discount deadline to this Wednesday.
You can get the discount if you pay the full fee ($395 for an adult, $295 for under-18) by this Wednesday. After Wednesday fees will go to $435 and $335.
You can pay when you register, or if you have already registered and paid your deposit, you can pay the balance by internet banking to the Clubs account. The Clubs bank account details are here: https://kapitihockey.org.nz/committee/club-documents/

Team Trainings Start This Week

All training at Kapiti Turf

Men - P3, P4 and Presidents - training together - 6.00pm to 7.00pm on Tuesdays
Women P3 - northern half turf - 7.00pm to 8.00pm on Tuesdays
Women P4 - southern half turf - 7.00pm to 8.00pm on Tuesdays
Women P2 - southern half turf -6.30pm to 8.00pm Wednesdays.

Game Draws Out Now

The game draws for the first few rounds are out now on PlayHQ - all teams except Presidents play this coming weekend.
