UPDATE :

My apologies unfortunately we won’t be able to run any polo this coming term.

There has been a scheduling clash and the aquatic centre cannot accomodate us on an alternative day or time.

We will try again for term 4.

Really sorry for any inconvenience- we were looking forward to getting back in the water. 💦

The pool has been booked for Tuesday nights 8-9pm starting back on Tuesday 13th August (as pool is closed for first 3 weeks of term)

Any players that are college age (year 9 and up), Seniors and Masters 30+ are invited to join the sessions.

The format of the sessions will be different than the recreational club polo that some of you have been used to, so come prepared to put in the mahi - I will endeavour to make it fun 🤩

I will be focusing on water polo game fitness and skills. If we have the numbers we may run a couple of games towards the end of term.

I know there will be at least one oldie (me) training with you.

We cannot accommodate younger players.

We will see how we go this term and make a judgement call on whether it continues into term 4 where Paraparaumu college might pick up the booking.

Waiting on confirmation from Coastlands Aquatic Centre - however we are hoping to run college (year 9s and over) and senior water polo training on Tuesday night again….let us know if you are interested and watch this space.

Please note this is only for college and senior players. And will be fitness and skill training….

And that's a wrap!

A huge Thank-you!! to all our awesome players, whanau and volunteers who have shown up on Tuesday evenings every term 8-9pm, played, assisted with coaching/ admin etc over the past few years we wouldn't have been able to continue this long without your help.

We hope you will continue your journey in this awesome sport...
and we hope that perhaps sometime in the future there will be water polo offered in Kapiti again.

Kia ora Kapiti Water Polo Whanau,

Just a little reminder that tomorrow night, Tuesday 9th April, is our final session for Term 1. We invite all family members (mum and dad, caregivers, siblings ... that's you!!) , friends and past players to join us for a fun game night to end the term.

Tomorrow night will also be the last night of water polo offered by our little club for the foreseeable future.

We thank-you all for your continued support over the years, its been a fun and fabulous journey offering this awesome sport on the Kapiti Coast. We thank all the parents and players that have helped out over the years with coaching, admin, compliance etc. without you we wouldn't have been able to continue on for this long.

Unfortunately 2024 has seen us without a committee to help with the behind the scenes admin of the club and it is no longer sustainable in its current form, so the tough decision has been made to wrap it up for now.

For those that are keen to continue their water polo journey and are happy to travel there are some great Wellington and Manawatu clubs to look into, and there maybe an opportunity for water polo in Term 4 through Paraparaumu College, so please keep an eye on our page for updates.

We wish you all a fabulous school holiday break.
