Good to see our player coach Laney run out for Horowhenua Kapiti in the weekend against North Otago, unfortunately they went down 45 31 but always great seeing our players play rep footy. Plenty of life left in those legs. 👍

It’s been a huge year for the club getting our history back up on our walls. Photos, plaques, jerseys being framed, when you walk into the club you get a sense of pride.

On behalf of the club we want to say a massive thank you to our rugby community for all your support this year, from the labour, generous donations we are extremely grateful for all your support.

We also identified 4 All Blacks that played for the club Gary knight - 1972, Joe karam - 1975
Mark ( cowboy ) Shaw -1975 and Christian Cullen 1994.

Generations of families celebrated - Lynch/ Phelps/ Dornbusch/ Denison and many more.

Hopefully we have a few rugby stars in the making within our club.

Thanks to our Rāhui Sportsclub brothers for the picture. Winding back the clock - how good are the jerseys

John Terrence 'Tiny' Wakelin in action for the club against Levin old boys.

Tiny also played 15 games for horowhenua between 1964 - 1970 and his HK number was #576

Another huge shift from our Horowheanua Kapiti team in the heartland competition travelling up to Ngati Porou East Coast and coming away with the win 50 34.

The highlight our very own Shauny Gardiner making his debut for the nua #1473.

Well deserved shauny, the club so proud of you reaching this milestone. A lot of hard work and patience to get your chance.

I’m sure a few cold ones on the way home 👊
