Join Coach Angelo and his team in celebrating an amazing 30 years of Hoop Club Kāpiti! There have been many challenges along the way, but Coach Angelo has held true to his strong belief of bringing grass roots basketball to Kāpiti and supporting youth in his local community.

Week 7 saw a couple of big upsets in the Hoop Club Winter Social League. Sobering Up picked up their first win of the season by beating PKB by 20 points, while Future Divorces knocked off ERRA Basketball in a thrilling contest. Only two weeks left in the regular season.

🏀🏀🏀Come and join Coach Angelo and his amazing Hoop Club Kāpiti team in celebrating our amazing Hoop Club Dads this weekend.🏀🏀🏀

We will be holding our Annual Father’s Day fun on Sunday 6 September with some warm up fun and “Kids vs Dads” Games in each age group session.

5 to 7 year olds 9.30 – 10.30am

8 to 10 year olds 10.30 -11.30am

11 to 17 year olds 11.30 – 12.30pm

If Dad can’t make it, bring along an Older Brother, Uncle, Grandad or Friend.

Congrats to Keegan Baker who was awarded Player of the Week for Week 7 of the Hoop Club Kapiti Winter Social league. Keegan, of the famously named "Future Divorces", picked up 15 points in his team's upset victory over ERRA Basketball. With 5 points and 1 steal in the final 4 minutes of the game, Keegan was instrumental in getting the "Divorces" the 72-65 win.

An honourable mention this week to Dylan "Dills" Kennady, who had an absolute blinder 😎against PKB in the final game of the night. Dylan had a career-high 20 points as Sobering Up got their first victory of the season.

Big congrats to Andre van den Assum who picked up Player of the Week honours for Week 6 of our Hoop Club Social League 🥳. Dre poured in 37 points (including 18 in the first quarter!) in SCHMKY's victory over Future Divorces on Sunday.
