FREERANGEBJJ FULL DAY SEMINAR

Wairua Bjj is hosting its first seminar in the new Dojo!

Welcoming old friends Alex and Anna from Freerangebjj who are coming in on the 20th June 2026 to take a full day, full immersion camp!
This will include movement and breathwork, jiu jitsu seminars, Q&A and rolls, rolls, rolls!!

If you've already done a Freerange Bjj seminar or camp before, you know these guys are amazing, and if you haven't, then you should definitely come and find out what you've been missing!

Come and check out our beautiful Dojo, weights gym, and sauna/cold plunge recovery centre.

We would like to congratulate Tony and Jonah on their performances at the NZBJJF Wellington Autumn Open 2026 🔥
Both competitors showed real heart, courage, and mana out there on the mats, representing Wairua with pride. Win, lose, or draw — stepping up to compete takes courage, and we’re very proud of the growth both boys showed over the weekend! Massive thank you to NZBJJF for putting on such a great event and thank you so much to all our team and supporters 🙏 we look forward to many more events like this as our team start to lock in more comps in the near future 🔥🔥🔥

NZBJJF FIELDING OPEN

Two of our Wairua Bjj Athletes attended the NZBJJF Fielding Open last Sunday and brought home GOLD!!

Zane Smith had 2 matches in the 88kg Purple Belt division, winning both by submission to bring home the Gold medal!

Hayden Melles, in only his second competition, took out the 88kg White Belt Gi division AND the 85.5kg White Belt No-Gi division to bring home 2 Golds!!

CONGRATULATIONS & !!

We also had an incredible Gracie Gym NZ grading here in Waikanae - the energy was unreal and the vibe was on! 💥 congratulations to all those that leveled up and to for receiving his black belt 🔥🔥🔥
