Congratulations to Mark Stevens – Kapiti Softball Club Life Member!

We’re thrilled to congratulate Mark on being awarded Life Membership of Kapiti Softball Club.

Mark has been a fundamental part of the club’s growth and success over many years, serving as both Treasurer and President, and most recently as our Patron.

He’s been a real figurehead for the club and someone who has always been willing to share his knowledge, offer advice and help guide the club towards where it needs to go. Just as importantly, Mark has been a constant support to new committee members, always ready to lend a hand, pitch in and help get things done.

Mark, thank you for the incredible amount of time, patience, commitment and care you’ve given to Kāpiti Softball over the years. Your contribution has made a lasting difference to our club and the people who are part of it.

Welcome to Life Membership, Mark. It’s very well deserved, and we’re looking forward to having you around for many more years to come! 💙🥎

Been club scoring for years? Keen to progress through the pathway’s? Why not put your knowledge to the test and take the foundation level👇👇

The 2026 Knowledge Assessments of Scoring Theory (KAST) are open for the Foundation Level, Level One and Level Two for the month of July.

There is no restriction on sitting the Foundation Level, which involves answering a set of questions about scoring in an online assessment. Levels One and Two are for scorers who successfully complete the Foundation Level and involve scoring a game from a video (Level One) and then analysing it (Level Two). There are also some online questions about scoring analysis in the Level Two assessment.

The assessment from Foundation Level to Level One and on to Level Two reflects a move from the Foundation Scorer to the Development Scorer in the SNZ National Scoring Pathway. Not all levels need to be attempted in any one year.

Badge Holder Scorers who have not been actively scoring and want to return to scoring should undertake the assessments from the Foundation Level. This is to ensure their knowledge is up to date.

As most of you know, James has been selected to represent NZ at the ISA U15 Tasman Cup, in Sydney, later this year.

Up for grabs, is the one and only raffle .... secure your number and get in quick for your chance to win some of the most amazing prizes. 100 tickets up for grabs at $20 each. There are 5 prizes to be won.

1st prize is a $250 voucher for a 6 course menu for 2 at 50-50. A huge shoutout and thanks to Helen at the amazing fine dining 50-50 restaurant 🍽 🍴

2nd prize is a Whittakers Chocolate pack consisting of 50 peanut slabs (1 box), a selection of 6 x 250g blocks of chocolate and a selection of 7 x 100g blocks. A massive thanks to my dear friend Darin Radar Galliers and Pip for this ❤️

A huge congratulations to Regan Foote being named the Wellington Softball Emerging Coach of the Year! 👏🥎

This recognition is incredibly well deserved and reflects the passion, commitment, and leadership Regan brings to every team he coaches.

This season alone, Regan coached the Kapiti Coast U15 Renegades to an unbeaten season, winning their grade and the Colin Ward Tournament, while also leading the Wellington U15 representative team to an impressive 3rd placing. He also coached the NZPAA softball team to a runner-up finish at the NZ Secondary Schools competition.

What stands out most is the impact Regan has on his players both on and off the diamond. He creates a positive team culture, leads by example, and always goes the extra mile to support and develop his players.

Regan is a huge asset to the Kapiti softball community and someone our club is incredibly proud of.

Congratulations Regan, an awesome achievement and very well deserved! 💙💛

We’re incredibly proud to share that former Kāpiti player, Ella, has been selected to represent New Zealand in the U15 White Sox team 🇳🇿

Ella spent 9 years with our club, and while she’s now playing elsewhere, she remains a big part of our Kāpiti softball family. With Kyla still part of our exec team as Treasurer, we’re proud to continue supporting her journey.

As she prepares to head to the Oceania World Cup Qualifiers in American Samoa this July, we’re raising funds to help cover the costs — and we’d love your support.

Let's get behind one of our youth players in his fundraising to get to the ISA tournament in August.
James has been a member of our KC club for 9 years and has grown strength by strength each year, any support that you can offer would help him achieve another amazing softball goal.
His parents are running a lot to drop raffle.

🥎Fundraising alert🥎

James has been selected to represent New Zealand in the ISA New Zealand Development U15 boys softball team for the Tasman Cup Tournament, in Australia this year.

He's had another great season of softball including his club team winning their grade and the Colin Ward Tournament. He also represented Paraparaumu College in the NZ Secondary Schools Tournament and Wellington in the U15 Boys Representative Team.

To kick off the fundraising, we are doing a lotto drop. Tickets are $20 each and there are 40 in total.

Prizes are $200 for bonus number and $50 each for the 4 strike numbers drawn. Prize draw happening Saturday 18 April (if all tickets are sold and paid for by Friday 17 April).
