Today’s match was a rollercoaster for the Kapiti Kings.

We posted a strong total of 181/7, but the Haryana Hurricane team chased it down skillfully. Despite some brilliant moments, our dropped catches proved costly. This was our second match in the Haryana Hurricanes T20 Winter League, and we have three more to go.

As a team, we’re learning and growing, and we’ll come back even stronger! 💪🌟

Kapiti Kings vs Wellington warriors

Bat First- Wellington Warriors

Wellington Warriors get All out on 91 runs on the board after 19.4 overs.

Kapiti Kings chased 92 in 15.3 Overs and won by 4 Wickets.

What a fantastic match!!
Wellington Warriors started slowly and lost early wickets. Kapiti Kings bowlers followed up with good line and length. Sanjo did a great job in bowling and took 3 wickets by giving just 6 runs in 4 hours. Whereas, Bhawesh got 3 wickets, Kabir got 2 Wickets, Jayson and Karan got 1-1 wicket.
Man behind the stumps skipper Ajay Kumar dis a fantastic job who managed to stump out 2 important wickets with his presence of mind.

In a fight back, Kapiti lost 4 early wickets as Damandeep Singh did a Fantastic bowling from Wellington Warriors.

But partnership between Rahul and Sam followed by Devinder helped reaching the goal.

Overall, it was a great match. Kapiti Kings are in Finals Now

Hard luck Kapiti Kings

It was qualifier match between Kapiti Kings and Punjab Pacers.

Kapiti Kings won the toss and elected to Bat first. Kapiti posted 150 runs on the board.

Punjab Pacers started very well and just one wicket fell until the 15th over. Gagan(52) Sidhu(60), helped to reach the target in 17 overs.

It was a hard day for Kapiti but don’t loose a hope. We still have a chance to step in final.

Good luck Kapiti for next do or die game.

Kapiti Kings remain on top spot in the Sunday League competition with a tight victory over Fierce Falcon.

Kapiti Kings won the toss and opt to bat first. They lost their 2 early wickets just on 2 runs. Nishant and Rahul did 120 runs partnership.
Kapiti Kings made enormous total 186/5 with Nishant 64(43), Rahul 62(44) all chipping in.

In reply, Fierce Falcon was struggling for boundaries in starting and their 3 wickets fell down just on 25 runs. Jason, Sanjo, and Amandeep took the important starting wickets. Falcon’s RRPO approaching the 10’s after 10 overs. Jaskaran made an effort to took his team out from trouble and he contributed 45 runs just in 19 runs with 3 massive sixes. At the end Fierce Falcon falling 11 runs short.

Jason and Ajay did a good job in bowling and they both took 2 wickets each. Nishant was bit expensive in bowling but he also got 2 important wickets.

Man of the match going to Nishant for his 64 off 43 balls, and 2 wickets.

Congratulations Kapiti for 5 in 5. Be ready for Semifinal with Punjab Pacers on Sunday 15th.

Sunday League

Kapiti Kings remain on top of the table after a victory over Warriors at Fraser Park.

Batting first the Kapiti Kings made a respectable 177/10. First wicket fell on 29 but 2nd wicket made a good partnership. Ajay got out on 39 just in 22 balls. On the other side Jason did tremendous batting again and contributed 46(32). Nishant tried to hit well and he made 19 runs only in 9 balls with the help of 2 massive back to back sixes. Devinder got out on 18 runs. Kapiti didn’t go well in last overs.

In response, Warriors got off to a shaky start and loss their first batsman in the first over. Opening Batsman Caleb hold the inning and he did a half century and contributed 52(42) runs for his team. Robin tried to make partnership for 2nd wicket but Jason took his wicket and he caught behind the wickets. Abhishek add 34(25) runs on the scoreboard. Gulab and Bhupinder were about to reach the target but Nishant and Raj did excellent spell in death overs. Both got 2 wickets each. Kabir, Jason and Vivek took 1 wicket each.

Warriors really gave tough fight to Kapiti, unfortunately they lost the game just by 13 runs.

Haryana Hurricane hit 143/9 on the board after 20.0 overs
Kapiti Kings chased 143 just in 16.3 Overs and won by 5 Wickets.

What a fantastic match!!
Haryana Hurricane started slowly and lost 2 early wickets. Kapiti Kings bowlers followed up with good line and length. Nishant did a great job in bowling and took 3 wickets. Whereas, Vivek got 2 wickets. Karan, Raj, Jason took 1 wicket each.
Deepak 28(23), Neeraj 19(18) ,Sunny 24(28), Nakul Malik 31(16) helped Haryana Hurricane to reach 143.

In a fight back, Kapiti started steadly and they scored 51 in Power play. Ajay played his Captain inning and he scored 54 just in 27 balls with the help of 6 fours and 3 massive sixes. Jason played attacking inning as well and scored 28(12). Raj also played well and scored 27(27).

Overall, it was a great match. Kapiti Kings are on top of the point table. Whereas, Haryana Hurricanes are on number 2.

Sunday league-

Kapiti Kings comfortably beat Punjab Pacers by 65 runs.

Batting first, Kapiti Kings made 217 in 20 Overs. The power hitting carried on through their innings with useful knocks from Sam 55 (26), Adin 31 (24) and Nishant 28 (15). Rahul scored a heroic 58 (35).

In response, Punjab Pacers couldn't get going, losing wickets periodically due to great bowling by Kabir who took 5 wickets, Hat-Trick and also a Man of the Match. Prashant Modi and Raj got 1 wicket each with excellent spell, Whereas Nishant took 2 wickets. Sidhu and Gagan top scored for Punjab Pacers with 32 (12) and 36 (29), but it was simply not enough to win the game.

Congratulations Kapiti Kings for their 2nd consecutive win.

KAPITI KINGS VS WPSCC THUNDERBIRDS

Winning the toss and electing to bat, Kapiti kings scored a mammoth 214 runs in 20 Overs.

Ajay, Rahul, Devinder and Karan played tremendous innings. Ajay got his 89 just in 45 balls.

Kapiti Kings shows their bowling skills in very first over. Vivek got his first wicket in first over.
Well done to Kabir who took 3 wickets in his spell and Didar who got 2 wickets in his spell.

End of the innings THUNDERBIRDS scored 101/8 in 20 overs.

It was cloudy and windy day at Fraser Park where Kapiti Kings won the toss and choose to bat first.

End of the inning, Kapiti Kings made an impressive 113 runs just in 10 overs. The second innings was not a happy time for Warriors (WLG). Greatest bowling performance by Kabir and fall of wickets made the chase difficult and Warriors fell 33 runs short at the end. Aggressive batting performance 29 runs (12) balls by Ajay, Sam 27 (18), Devinder 14 (9) who carried their bat in limited overs match. Kabir and Didar took 2 wickets each. Whereas Raj took 1 wicket.

Kapiti Kings lost their 2nd game with less margins and it helps them to be on top in their group table.

Congratulations Team Kapiti Kings on their win and get an entry into semifinal. Hope trophy will be home soon.
