Unfortunately, over the past few days, the club nets have been vandalized.

CCTV footage shows a group of kids jumping and climbing on the club's nets, causing one of the posts to come loose.

This is not only frustrating, but there's also a risk of serious injury for anyone jumping on the net's roof.

The committee is already working to fix the nets as soon as possible so the community can keep using the facilities.

If you see anyone misusing the park's facilities, please say something. If you're willing to ignore it, you're essentially condoning it. We want to keep providing great facilities for everyone's benefit!

🏏 The Road to Summer Has Begun!

What a great way to kick off the season prep with our first Junior and Youth Preseason session today.

It was fantastic to see so many young cricketers back and getting stuck into their cricket for the season ahead.

There's plenty of excitement at Papamoa Cricket Club as we build towards summer.

A huge thank you to our club coach and assistant coach Josh Dinan, who made today's session such a positive start.

🏏 Catching up with in England 🇬🇧

Jamie is currently enjoying his overseas cricket experience and says it's been an incredible opportunity both on and off the field.

"It's an unbelievable place to play cricket. The team are a great bunch of blokes, and wherever you go it feels like you're stepping back in time."

When asked about the biggest differences between cricket in England and New Zealand, Jamie highlighted the depth of talent and resources in the English game.

"There's a lot of money in English cricket, the competition has some serious skill, and the pitches are generally low and slow."

One aspect that's stood out to Jamie is the strong connection between clubs and their communities.

"Clubs have a lot of history and tradition, and there's a strong following for local cricket. It feels like a big part of community life, with people regularly turning up to support their local club throughout the season."

Looking ahead, Jamie is focused on continuing to develop his game and making the most of the experience.

"I'm hoping to keep improving, contribute as much as possible to the team's success, and make the most of every opportunity on and off the field. I'd also like to travel a bit more, experience different parts of England, and create some lasting memories before heading home."

We wish Jamie all the best for the rest of his season overseas and look forward to following his journey!

We’re thrilled to announce that Josh Hickman has re-signed with Papamoa Cricket Club Inc for another summer! 🏏🔥

Josh will once again play a huge role across our cricket programme, leading our Junior & Youth Development Programme during the off-season, while continuing to drive our overall cricket programme throughout the season.

Alongside his work within the club, Josh will also be offering private 1-on-1 coaching sessions for players from both our club and the wider cricket community who are looking to take their game to the next level.

Josh’s passion for player development, strong cricket knowledge, and commitment to our club culture make him an invaluable part of the Pāpāmoa Cricket Club whānau, and we’re excited to have him back for another season 💙🧡

Today we celebrate all the amazing mums, nans, step mums, aunties, caregivers and mother figures who make our club and community stronger every day.

Thank you for the early mornings, the sideline support, the endless washing, the rides to training, the encouragement after tough days, and the cheers after the good ones.
