Sometimes life doesn’t always go to plan & that has been the case for one of our teacher training co-horts. Due to no one’s choice or fault, two of our students are taking a bit of a pause in their training.

But, the beauty of the way we run our business & training is we can pivot… & pivot we have done.

Today, our beautiful student Bria Jackson completed day 1 of 2 of her intermediate mat training… solo. Chantal was in her element sharing her cabin & knowledge with Bria & as a training school there is nothing better than being back together in person to continue to mentor & support our teachers as they progress.

Although running training as individuals isn’t something we have done a lot of it did give us a bit of a light bulb moment into whether it could become a more regular offering…so watch this space.

Well done Bria on how far you have come thus far, your classes you’re taking will continue to build your confidence as a teacher. You do us proud ♥️

With over 25 years of Pilates teaching experience, Chantal brings a wealth of knowledge to every session. Her approach is personal and considered, taking the time to understand how you move, what you want to achieve and tailoring each session for you.

Dynamic Pilates Studio Update

It’s been a little while & although it may seem I have stepped away, I am actually stepping more fully into what matters most.

After more than 20 years of teaching Classical Pilates and running larger studios in Wellington, this next chapter isn’t about doing less, it’s about teaching with greater intention, creating deeper connecting and focusing on what I love most (and to remind myself of why I started teaching in the first place).

Welcome to my home studio in Otūmoetai. This is home. This is Dynamic Pilates.

Here, there are no crowded classes, no pressure to keep up, no performing for social media. Just purposeful movement, and over two decades of experience guiding you towards moving well for life.

Designed for only private and duo, every session is thoughtfully tailored to you - your body, your goals, your story and your journey.

You’ll still find me working with workplaces, gyms, and community groups because sharing movement with people in all walks of life will always be part of who I am.

But, you’ll mostly find me here. In my little space doing what is the most aligned to me & my passion for Classical Pilates.

So, whether you have been with me since Wellington or you have just discovered Dynamics Pilates thank you for being here.

This weekend saw four new beautiful women step out of their comfort zones & into something new as they completed our two day intensive introduction Mat & Reformer teacher training.

The thing is though, this is only the beginning.

We are so proud to stand by the fact that we know 100% you can’t become a Pilates teacher over one weekend, so over the next 12 months (or more) these women will be guided, taught & committed to their own personal practice, teaching & observation as they work towards a certification that we are proud to stand by in an industry that now more than ever needs classically trained teachers.

This intro course was going to be our one and only for 2026, however due to further interest we are going to take another intake (of maximum 4) in the next couple of months.

If you’re interested in putting in the work we will continue to put our name to training remarkable teachers who will be the ones making a difference in the world of Pilates ♥️

Last week we held our Beginner Reformer in person two day course with the three beautiful students we currently have enrolled working towards their teaching qualification.

For reference, their last in person course was in December so in between, there has been hours & hours of in-person, observation & self practice.

It’s really important for us to emphasise the word TEACHER. When you choose to train with us, that’s what you become (not instructors).

Our teaching program is intensive & although in all transparency it’s harder for us to grow in the industry at the moment due to all of the “hard & fast instructor programs” we stand tall in knowing the calibre of teachers that graduate from us will continue to represent true authenticity in the Pilates world.

Anyway, the point of this post is to act as a reminder we have our one and into introduction to Pilates (Mat & Reformer course) happening this month. These two days in person course allows you to get a taste as to whether our program is for you (or not). Should you choose to carry on, these hours count towards your qualification.

Dynamic Pilates Teacher Training - 2026 intake

This year we’re doing things a little differently. We are offering only one intake so we can slow it down, go deeper and give our students the very best of us (which is a usual anyway 😉).

Our introduction to Mat & Reformer weekend is the ideal starting point if you’re thinking about becoming a Pilates teacher.

You’ll build strong foundations, understand the classical method, and get a real feel for why teaching Pilates is all about (before committing to the full journey).

So, if quality, connection, and being trained by someone with over 20 years experience in the industry this is for you.

Selling my much-loved Peak Pilates equipment — a PPS System (Mat Reformer + Tower) and matching MVE Chair, all made in Colorado.

These are original, beautifully made pieces and they simply don’t make them like this anymore.

This Reformer has been going strong for many years in fact, 18 years and I have had no problems with it at all and had to replace nothing bus springs . It also folds up for storage

The Reformer/Tower/Mat combo has been with me for many years and is incredibly reliable, smooth and high quality, with plenty of life left in it. The MVE Chair is the matching metal line, solid, stable and a fantastic piece to work with.

There is natural wear and tear, all shown clearly in the photos, but both pieces are in excellent working condition.
Both come with spare springs, and everything shown in the photos is included.

We are going to be open over the holiday season, with with our full timetable back from Monday 5th January.

Whether you're keeping your routine or sneaking in a little "me time" between beach trips, we'd love to see you.

Got friends or family visiting who already know their way around a Reformer? Bring them along! Casual classes are $25 over this time (they can email us to book).

Friday morning saw the studio full of local wāhine from who had booked a private corporate session. One of them are leaving the company & it was a decision that instead of the usual “Friday BBQ & beers” as a farewell that they would take a couple of hours out of the office & move their bodies while also doing something different to their norm.

By all accounts everyone really enjoyed it & are looking forward to coming back on a regular basis.

If you’re a local business looking for a bit of a way to bring the team together by way of Pilates, you know where to find us. These sessions are tailored for all levels so really are a great way of suiting everyone 🤎
