Had a great day out with the the old lad on in beautiful Bay of Islands. We got plenty of fish and were looked after by the amazing crew.
Plenty of food to make with the fish we took home, including a first for me, a rolled stuffed kingfish belly roast. Worked out really well and tasted delicious.

Got my first kingi off the beach out the front of our house. Caught on a small live kahawai on the sliding livebait rig using my Dawia Spartan S100 rod. I was just about to pack up, and then my rod tip started bending over.
