Proceedwithcaution, Savuno and She's Queen Bea galloped on the grass at Belmont this morning.
Proceedwithcaution worked strongly by himself over 1200m. He recovered well and will head to Listed Bull and Bush Tavern Cup over 2000m at Bunbury.
Unfortunately there are no races in the next 6 weeks for a horse with his rating so the Bunbury race is the only option.

Savuno and She's Queen Bea galloped together and although Savuno had a half length on her at the line, it was still nice work from both.
She's Queen Bea will trial on Tuesday st Belmont and Savuno will race at Ascot on Wednesday.

Max loves a swim and it's a great way to aid his recovery from yesterday's race.
All indications point to him having come through the run very well!

Absolutely thrilled with Proceedwithcaution today!
Second, carrying 60kg and giving the winner 2kg!!!
He got a great ride from Shaun O'Donnell and put in an excellent effort to finish only 1 length from the winner, who established a big lead through the middle stages and did well to hold on.
Max seems to have pulled up super from the run and there are no signs of the lameness that stopped him last start.
I'm not too sure where I'll head with him now but the listed Prince of Wales Hotel cup over 2000m at Bunbury a fortnight from tomorrow is definitely an option.
He'll likely drop to 54kg for that race and the way he stuck on today suggests that 2000m isn't beyond him.
Either way, it's just great to see him performing as he should!

Racing at Ascot today!

• Proceedwithcaution
• Race 4, 2:49
• 72+ 1500m

Max has a task in front of him today with 60kg on his back. He has previously lumped 61kg to victory in the same grade so it's not necessarily a prohibitive weight.
He is aided by drawing barrier 1 in the 10 horse field. Hopefully he is quickly into stride and can be on the back of the leader, who should be Wrinkly.
The race maps very well for Wrinkly and it should be very hard to beat.
Max trialled very well earlier this month and afterwards there were no signs of the lameness that plagued him in his last race start.
I'm confident that he's about as well as he can be at this point so fingers crossed he shows his best, and more importantly pulls up sound and well.

Savuno and Proceedwithcaution both having a nice Sunday morning dip this morning. So nice having facilities like this so readily available and the horses sure love it too!

I'm thrilled to be in New Zealand while their National Yearling sales are on!

As you would expect, there are a lot of very nice young horses from some of the greatest families in the Studbook, all immaculately turned out.

New Zealand has a well earned reputation as one of the worlds premier producers of high class race horses and it's really easy to see why.

On the whole, the yearlings are well grown with great scope and plenty of bone.

The quality of bloodstock is perfectly matched by the world class sales complex that New Zealand Bloodstock has spared no expense in developing from the ground up and it's not by accident that this sale always has an incredibly strong international buying bench.

Boulet De Cannon headed to Roselee Park for a well-earned holiday today.
He has had 2 trials and 4 starts in his first racing prep, running 5th in each of his last 3 starts, including yesterday's effort at Ascot where he was beaten 3 lengths when racing out of his grade.
It's always disappointing not to win but Bully has come a long way, both physically and mentally this prep and I'm confident he'll be an improved horse when he comes back from his holiday.
The first photo is of Bully when he first came into work and the second was taken after his race yesterday, so it's easy to see how much he has developed this time in!
