Remain unbeaten so far in the Slazenger cup, with a big day tomorrow to battle it out at the top of the table.

Some seriously great games going on and the girls and guys are fighting hard for CMBA, if you have a chance tomorrow head down to Badminton Waitakere and add your voice to the many supporters we have had over the tournament so far.

Over the weekend Counties Junior teams competed in an unofficial local derby competition between Waikato, Waitakere and Counties in the U19, U17, U15 & U13 age groups. This was a valuable experience for all players, coaches and managers as they prepare for the upcoming NZ Junior Team Champs in Palmerston North next month. Well done to all the teams: Results as follows:

U13 section 1:

U13 section 2:
Counties Manukau 3 (2nd place)

Life Membership Recognition – Mere Nui

At the CMBA 2026 AGM, we were proud to award Life Membership to Mere Nui in recognition of her outstanding contribution and unwavering support of our Association over many years.
Mere has been a true champion of Counties Manukau Badminton – both on and off the court. From regularly participating in our in-house competitions and club nights, to proudly representing Counties in our Inter-Association Vets and Super Vets teams, her commitment has been exceptional.

Beyond her own playing, Mere has generously volunteered her time to support the club in any way she can, always stepping up when needed. She is also a passionate supporter, consistently showing up to cheer on our Counties representative teams – from junior level right through to the New Zealand Nationals.
Mere embodies the spirit of our community, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she has given to CMBA.

Congratulations Mere and thank you for your incredible dedication!

Wisden Cup 2026 — Teams Announced!

CMBA is proud to roll out two teams this year — a first for our association and a huge milestone for our programme.
