As many of you may have already heard, Max and Margaret Grant of Quality Kayaks (QK) in Ashhurst have decided to retire after having successfully manufactured and marketed their range of kayaks for well over 30 years. Over this time, Quality Kayaks has proven to be both a very worthy competition and allie to ourselves in the NZ kayak manufacturing market and from all the team at Mission Kayaking we sincerely wish Max and Margaret all the best for their retirement and trust they will thoroughly enjoy a well deserved break.

With that said, we are pleased to announce that as at the 1st June 2017 Mission Kayaking is honored to take over the manufactured and sales of the majority of the QK plastic kayak models to keep these popular designs going by bringing them under the Mission Kayaking banner.

To accompany this news, we are also pleased to announce that we are taking on the Wavesport Kayaks distribution here in NZ and Australia with a container of new model white water kayaks due to arrive at our factory shortly. Dating back to the 1980s, Mission Kayaking has always had a strong relationship with our friends in the UK and we are delighted that we are able to work with them again in this new venture. In recent years Wavesport have become well known internationally for their stylish designs and quality finishing that we are excited to be able to bring these designs to our shores to fill the white water kayak gaps in our own kayak range
