Huge congratulations (and well deserved) on being named Manawatu Rugby's Volunteer of the week.

This week's Gallagher Insurance Volunteer of the Week is Kent Higson from Marist Junior Rugby.

Kent has been a dedicated member of the Marist Junior Rugby Committee since 2016 and has served as Chairman since 2017, playing a vital role in the club's continued success. He has dedicated countless hours to creating a positive, safe, and enjoyable rugby environment for young players and their families.

Kent's contribution extends beyond Marist. He joined the Manawatū Rugby Junior Board in 2017, became Chairman in 2019, and served in that role until the beginning of this year. His leadership and commitment have helped strengthen junior rugby across the region.

One of Kent's biggest contributions has been coordinating teams and recruiting coaches each season. Through his patience, encouragement, and willingness to support others, he has inspired many parents to step into coaching and volunteer roles.

Kent's tireless work behind the scenes has made a lasting impact on junior rugby in Manawatū. His dedication, leadership, and selfless service make him a truly deserving recipient of this week's Gallagher Insurance Volunteer of the Week.
