Always a real honour to be asked to make the trophy for the PDC Darts, this years had a little change up thanks to new employee, Frank, who did an outstanding job etching the trophy. Looked outstanding on tv, congratulations to Luke Littler on taking home a special piece of WCS hardware!!

For anyone interested in seeing scale dirt speedway it’s all happening here today from 2.30-7pm. Head down Raukawa Road, turn onto Innerwell Lane and look for the WCS sign on your left and drive into the paddock to check it out. Nearly 20 Sprint cars here tonight, plus a selection of saloons, Modifieds and regular race buggies. Free entry!!

Here we go!!! The track has had a groom, it will be slippery until racing starts at 4.30 then it will completely change and be like driving on a glue stick.
Thanks to everyone that has entered, we look forward to seeing you today, gates open at 1, the off-road track is also open today as well, come and take advantage of a amazing mid-winter day here at RIR!!

Crazy busy times here at the ol' WCS, but somehow we are managing to keep ahead of the surge and keep punching out trophies and goodies for our fantastic customers!!

Being a small business we have no real start or stop time, just time to get the products out the door and ready to be presented, and as such the opportunity to take great images and make them look amazing, is in reality a quick grab of the phone, try and hide the disaster in the background and take a image of the awards as they get fired into a box and dispatched, so here are some images of messy backgrounds and about to be dispatched awards.

It’s been a while since we last posted but it’s has been hectic!!
The Toyota Racing series starts this weekend as the Castrol Toyota Formula Regional Oceania Championship (CTFROC) as well as the 86 series. 5 weeks of full on race again across NZ with the latest talent from NZ and Overseas, if you have a round close go for a look!
Locally Robertson Prestige International Speedway season is rolling on and we are about to start the teams champs trophies as well.
Plenty of RC action locally and around the country so something for everyone.

It Tuesdee so its Round 2 of the FFCATRS (Sorry I'm currently building the Trophies for the CTFROC - Formally TRS and thought I'm going to have to step up my game here) Family Fun Casual As Twilight Race Series tonight at the greatest International RC raceway in Ashhurst. Gates open at 5.00, registration from 5.40 racing from 6 to 8pm. Classes are Buggy, Short Course, Juniors, EBuggy, Vintage.
No pre registration required, all done on the night, $10 per car Adults, Juniors $10 and Families $30.

Still no oval sorry, Paul and I did a stone drive yesterday but still have lots more to remove before we can lay the track. The wait will be worth it, once done I promise.

See you'all tonight for the best racing action for Round 2 of the FFCATRS. If you cant make tonight, we still have Thursday this week for Round 3.

It’s supposed to be a recession and this is supposed to be our quiet months but we are still cranking out products and services here at We Cut Shapes. August is looking to be one of the biggest on record for trophies and our mates on the other side of the shop at Raukawa International Raceway are also flying with heaps of new products leaving the shop.
Here are some photos of one of our favourite trophy’s for the MX5 Racing series. Unfortunately the large model is now out of production and we’ve substituted the little cars in to complete this set, so we are going back to the drawing board for next year’s spectacular awards. We are also making 4 sets of trophies for RC Speedway in Christchurch, Wine boards, stencils, Badminton Manawatu event signs, school projects and the PDC Darts World Series trophy’s for the New Zealand leg in Hamilton August 4-5.

We never get to many chances to post our trophies as they rush out the door, but thanks to the New Zealand Rotary Racing Enthusiasts here are the latest versions we created for them. Always a pleasure to create cool trophies like this for super cool customers who give us a great brief and then let us do our magic.

King of the Rotaries 2023

Its been an amazing Summer period for us at WCS this year. It has been an absolute privilege to supply trophies to the Toyota Gazoo Racing Series and the Toyota Gazoo 86 Series, as well as the trophies for the Robertson Prestige Speedway meetings.
We have been pushed out of our comfort zone to create some unique awards for those competing at these race meetings around New Zealand this summer of non-summering.

We usually have a last gasp image taken as they whip out the door to each event, but we were lucky enough to be sent some images of the 86 Series trophies from last weekend.
Enjoy and if you are looking for iconic awards for your sports and clubs, give us a shout, we can create them to your budget and requirements. Don't accept the norm, go original.

Anyhow enjoy and congratulations to the champions elect and we look forward to what 2023/24 summer brings us.
