There’s some serious excitement buzzing around the Senior A camp as a trio of old heads return to assist ! Making his Snr A debut in 2003 and having last played for OBM Senior A in 2011, Johnny Leota links up with old playing mates Anthony Guerin and Jason Temara bringing over 400 caps of experience to the fold.

Senior B post an impressively strong team sheet to take on an equally strong Feilding Yellows at home !

Senior Thirds head over to Bulls in the hopes to put on an exciting display of geriatric flair in the Rangitikei district !

Team sheets for the weekend !

Senior A have their last home game of the season this weekend against Kia Toa and it’d be great to pack the clubbies one last time for a post match drink !

Senior B have Manawatu’s last great bus trip to Kimbolton and back to face a tough FOBO Stags.

Senior thirds dig even deeper into the OBM archives picking names out of a hat with Corey Lahina returning after a 10 year sabbatical.

Our feature game of the weekend is the quarterfinal between OBM Women’s and Freyberg !

Senior A play our good friends Feilding Yellows at home @ 2.45pm

Senior Thirds return to their glory days with a team sheet that looks like it was drawn from a hat… That 12/13 combo will be like a revolving door on defence and the 15 certainly won’t be chasing anyone down when they break thru… Excited to see his Italian brother return at ho**er.

Senior B are a bit light on numbers as they travel to Ashhurst to support the Ashhurst Pohangina club day!

🏉 MARIST CENTENNIAL WEEKEND – GAME DAY PREVIEW 🏉
A massive weekend awaits at the Marist home grounds as we celebrate our Centennial with a full slate of rugby and a chance to honour the generations who built this club into what it is today.
The weekend kicks off tonight with our Women’s side taking on Rangitīkei under the lights. Expect plenty of energy and physicality as our wāhine look to set the tone for a huge weekend of Marist rugby.
Saturday then rolls straight into a big day at home:
🔥 B’s vs Bulls – 12:45pm
The B’s will be looking to bring intensity from the opening whistle against a tough Bulls outfit. With home support behind them, they’ll be ready to make a statement.
🔥 3rds vs Ashurst – 12:45pm
The 3rds have built strong momentum and will be eager to keep it rolling against Ashurst. Expect plenty of passion, effort, and club spirit in this one.

This weekend is bigger than results. It’s about celebrating the players, families, supporters, and volunteers who have worn the green and white with pride over the years. From past legends to future generations, this is a weekend for the whole Marist whānau.

🎉 Centennial Weekend is here! 🎉
The weekend we’ve all had circled on the calendar — 100 years in the making.

We’re proud to celebrate a century of memories, mateship, and rugby with an action-packed weekend featuring all four senior teams at home, plus a Golden Oldies clash on Sunday.

Here’s what’s coming up:

Friday Night
The celebrations kick off under lights as our Ladies side takes the field at 6:30pm on Arena 4.
A huge thank you to Rangitīkei Wahine for being so accommodating and allowing this match to be played at home.

Saturday
Saturday speaks for itself — a full day of footy, festivities, and club spirit.

We’ll have:
🔥 BBQ running all day
🏰 Bouncy castles for the kids
🍻 Clubrooms open for supporters and the thirsty alike

On the field:
🏉 Senior B vs Bulls
🏉 Senior Thirds vs Ashhurst Pohangina
🏉 Senior A vs our old foes College Old Boys — a match that promises to be an absolute spectacle.

Sunday
We wrap up the weekend with a Golden Oldies game, celebrating the generations who helped build our club into what it is today.
