Heat Two from Saturday night. Track was quite wet to begin with which I always struggle with in the tank getting side bite and drive. Made an error in judgement after the red light and got sent for a ride into the wall by Ron. Unfortunately this tore the Jacob's from the chassis ending our night

Thanks to my sponsors for sticking with Me through this pandemic, means a lot having you along for the ride

Heat one of the Dash for Cash in Wanganui on Saturday night.

Started at the rear of the grid and finished in 5th. Had a couple of good battles during the race and happy to get our first race on Wanganui besides teams racing in the tank.

A big thanks has to go to Oceanview Speedway for putting the meeting on and allowing us to get back on track

As always racing would not be possible without our great sponsors and my amazing crew. Thank you for being apart of my dreams, even in this tough time.

Sorry for the lack of updates over the past few months. Opening night at Palmy saw the tank hit the track for the 1st time in 2021. The off-season saw a lot of steelwork on the car and we finally got the car together on the day of racing.

Heat one: 1st night rookie mistake, didn't put enough tape on the visor and was blind on the grandstand straight due to the sunlight. We didn't run a transponder but going off the cars we finished around we finished approximately 15th.

Heat two: starting 26. Go caught in a bit of drama early on but had a couple of good battles eventually finishing again around 15th going off others mylaps

Heat 3: grid 4 and hoping for a good result. Crew asked for a good start and to get down away from the wall for when the big push happened. The Tanker launched well, too well in fact and we ended up alongside the car that was on grid 2. Unfortunately the inside line came across on us and I ended up head on into the wall before bouncing around off a few cars and eventually stalling the car and unable to refire before the reds. DNF.

Last weekend we had a lot of commitments with friends and family so chose to sit the night out and focus on the family.

Thanks to all my sponsors who have again come on board to help get the car on the track.

And thanks to the photographers that took the photos of the car out there. NZ Speedway pics, Sticky, and Pete thanks for the use of the photos on this post.

Hoping to be able to race this weekend but this will depend on the Dr's sign-off to get this vaccine as a medical condition has prevented Me getting it to date

So proud to take home this trophy last night. Rollover shield for the 20/21 season. What made the night even sweeter was being able to Share it with Charlie Ohara taking home Ministock Most improved.

As I said last night, it would not have been possible without my amazing Crew and Sponsors. Without your dedication and support over the past season I would not be able to do what I love.

Biggest thank-you has to go to Claire O'Hara for supporting me in this crazy sport and pushing me to be there every meeting we can be.

Thankyou to everyone who came down on the weekend and dropped some money in our Ronald McDonald House Charities New Zealand bucket. Another $42 raised for our house to house challenge for the month of March. So our speedway family have kindly donated $123 towards this great charity this month. 1 day to go and 11km to finish off my target of running, walking or biking 105km this month.

If anyone would like to donate to this great charity please contact me or jump on the link and show your support of this great charity.

Thank you for all who came along last night and added to the buckets on Charlie's Ministock and our Superstock for the Ronald McDonald House. A total of $80.60 was raised for them last night and has been added to their account which you can see in the photo below. We will have the buckets their again on the 27th so if anyone else would like to donate in person pop down and see us, or flick me a message and I can send you a link to my fundraising page.

Such a massive cause for Claire, Faelan, Imogen and I to get behind and so cool to have Damien, Michelle, Charlie and Shea support with the use of their car prior to the meeting. And so cool seeing so many friends getting behind us in the pits last night.

Teams Champs 2021 Done.

Being selected to race for the first time was an honor and has made a child hood dream come true. For that I have to thank Ian Parfitt and the selection team from the bottom of my heart.

Racing didn't go as planned but a young team with the added experience of Ron means we can keep pushing forward as a group and work towards great things in years to come.

Only getting the one race on qualifying night and finding myself going from a block role to running was definitely not on the pre race plans but with a good hit by Bexs taking out the lead car I was hopeful we mite get lucky in the dying laps. Unfortunately not to be.

All in all it was a great experience, and one that I can't wait to have another crack at. Thanks to all the Mustang Sponsors, the track promotion team, my personal sponsors, My Crew, and all the supporters that come down to say hi or gave us a cheer.

To Bex, Ron, Chad, Brendan, and Todd. Thankyou for welcoming me into the team and allowing me to chase my dreams alongside you.

To my Crew, your Partners and my Parents, thankyou for all the long nights in the lead up to the meeting, for all the nights away from Loved ones, and for always being there when I need you.

And to Claire, thankyou for always having my back and allowing me to get out there and do what I love. Without your extra push this really would not have been possible.

We will have a couple of weeks off now and come back later this month possibly for the 248s before North Islands and Auckland Teams if selected.

Last weekend the 23p team loaded up the bus and made the trip to Oceanview Speedway for our first teams race of the season and in the new car. It was a great experience and I feel the Mustang team members really worked well together as a team getting the Win against a good Warriors side.

For me, the car was excellent and handled the contact well. Coming away from the race with a bit of steel work bent jacobs ladder mount, and bent steering arm so very minor in the scheme of things.

Driver needs a bit more work to get his timing right but that will come with more teams races under our belt, but for our 1st time in a blocking role I feel we had a solid race.

With Imogen still in hospital we will have a weekend off this weekend and get the car ready for our next hitout in Palmy in a week or two.

Thanks to all my sponsors and Crew for getting the car out on track. Truly wouldn't be doing this without all your support

Thanks to Tayler Burke, Zaben CresswellPhotography and PS3 photography for the great photos

Last Saturday saw the 23p team take the Tank for its 2nd run, this time in Wellington Speedway. A well run meeting and a good chance for us to try some changes we had made to the car.

Heat one, grid 21. Had a terrible start. The green flag was dropped as I was still rolling up to the back of the grid and I completely missed it while resetting my belts. Once away we got comfortable and then began to push for placings making our way up to 11th.

Heat Two, grid 11. Better start in this race and we made some spots with some carnage happening down the back straight. Unfortunately getting pushed wide into turn 3 by 591p and loosing a few spots. A couple of good battles had in this race with a Wellington car trying to slow me down and another trying to spin me but we came home in 9th.

Heat Three and off grid 1. Instructions from the crew were to be aggressive and don't hold back in the opening laps. We got a good start off the line but on the wet side of the track slotted into 2nd. Getting a massive shove mid corner by 95p had us up the wall exiting 2 but managing to keep speed up we slid back into 2nd through turn 3. Turn 1 2nd lap and our old mate 89w gave us a big push into 1 which started a bit of a pinball effect and we popped the front right tire. So unfortunately a DNF.

Really happy with the speed in the car. Within 0.3 in the 1st 2 races from the quickest laps so we are not far away when in fresh air. The driver just needs to work on pack racing, but we now have a car that we can compete with the others around us.

As always massive thanks to my crew. Myself and Claire have been spending a lot of time in the hospital lately, so shed nights and car prep have all been through the help of my team.

And Thankyou to my sponsors who we couldn't do this without
