Weekend just gone we raced as part of the Manawatu Steelers Stockcar Team at the Palmy Teams Invasion.
First race we sat out and watched the team pick up the win vs Pumas 2.
Second race vs HB was to be my first teams race and full credit to the team for getting me in a position to make it my first win also.
With 2 wins Steelers had enough points to be in the final vs Pumas 1, unfortunately it wasn't to be with Pumas winning fairly comfortably and fully deserved.
Learned a lot and was definitely an awesome experience with a great bunch of drivers Tony, Rob, Graeme, Jamie, Quentin and Jaden.
Have to thank some people for their effort to get the car to be there, leading up to this meeting it had been a frustrating few weeks to say the least.
We had been having some distributor issues, so we had the motor out during the week to make sure it was solved. Big ups to CSL Race Engines for getting the work done on it and in such a quick turnaround. Wouldn't of been there otherwise.
Wayne at Beltdrive also, spent quite a few hours of his own time trying to help us get the issues sorted. You shouldn't be getting your belts anywhere else.
Last but not least Dave, Corye and the oldman Chris for help getting the car together over the last couple of weeks.
As well as everyone that were offering dizzy parts and advice prior, thankyou.
