Men's Evergreens 2022 CPF announcement

Kia Ora Men’s Evergreens,

The 59th Men’s Evergreens Tournament, hosted by Manawatu Evergreens, 4th - 5th March 2022 is currently ON and will operate under the sporting EVENT category in the Covid Protection Framework. This entails ALL attendees must be double vaccinated and have a Covid Vaccine Pass available, upon request. Manawatu region is currently in ORANGE and some additional restrictions may apply if this region moves to RED.

Apologies for the delay of this announcement, but we have been waiting for final clarification from Sport NZ and Softball NZ as to whether this tournament was classified as a GATHERING or an EVENT, as different rules apply. We then communicated our discussions with Hosts Manawatu, and they agree with this framework.

The team manager will be responsible for checking the Covid Vaccine passes for ALL members of their touring party and providing verification of this to the Tournament Secretary before arrival.

Basic safety rules will still apply: Scan or sign in upon arrival at the park, wash or sanitise your hand’s whenever possible, facemasks encouraged when not playing, sanitize shared equipment often and try and keep at least 1m apart from others.

IF you become unwell, stay at your motel and get tested.
