Today me & Mum went hacking with Aunty Danelle & Buttons. Though after I was being a big sissy at the creek (can you blame me, my last water experience was a flood!), mum & Aunty Danelle swapped & mum buggered off through the creek on Buttons & Aunty Danelle wrapped her longs legs round me & somehow I was through the creek! I swear she is a magician!

After that mum & Aunty decided that seeing as it was so long since either mum or I had seen a hill that we would stay swapped over so mum could get used to hills again on Buttons & Aunty would stay with me so I could get used to hills with a rider who was used to them. Buttons got cross with me a couple of times & kept muttering something about having to “babysit sissy’s” & kept giving me stink face when I was in front & went too slow.

But by the end I was a good girl about going through the water & I even had to jump a little boggy patch! I was very happy to get back to the float & that mum had made me lunch. Mum paid Buttons her babysitting fee in carrots, so I think we are forgiven? I think next time mum mentions going hacking I will hide so she can’t find me! 🤣🦄

After my recent bouts of “being a Drama Llama”, mum overhauled my life & I can report that at the RAS Showing Championships, I was back to being the perfectly behaved Bubbles that you all know & love! ❤️ 🦄

On Thursday I followed mum round nice as pie doing my inhand workouts & we got 4th in the Best Presented & 3rd in the Led Riding Horse. In the afternoon we did the Milan Park Stud Newcomer Thoroughbred class, I wasn’t too sure about being in the ring with the other horses & was definitely not sure I was allowed to gallop, but we got 5th, & they gave us a cap which mum tried to get me to wear but my head is too big so I let her keep it.

On Friday I had more ridden classes & I was a lot braver about the other horses in the ring & I did a better gallop in my warmup class. Then I finally got to do the “workout” that me & mum have been practicing, I was much happier doing a workout that I knew & there was no one else in the ring with us, so I was very good & we got Third, which mum & granny were very excited about!

Mum has stolen my ribbons again, but I think I got given eleventy billion pieces of carrot 🥕 so I think that is a fair exchange! Mum also says I have to thank the Show organisers, stewards, officials, judge’s & sponsors for putting on a lovely show at short notice & hopefully they will do it again next year! 🤞

I had my first of the three events! Despite ripping my cover I did stay clean! Mum took me to the Hawkes Bay Showing Championships. I was very excited to discover I was the only one in my first class, so I left mum with the judge & took off to do my lap of honour round the oval! Apparently I am a “BIG EEJIT” & I am supposed to finish my workout & get a ribbon tied on before I can do that…ooops! 🙈🙉🙊

So for the mare class, I waited until I had my rosette before trying to take off for another lap, but mum had a tight grip on the reins & wouldn’t let me 😭. Then she threatened me with “THE JANDAL” in front of everyone 😳. I thought I would get to go home, but then mum put the saddle on & gave me a ride around, so I did my best Drama Llama interpretative Dance moves for her, but she didn’t like it, she kept making me do circles until I got tired & let her do what she wanted.

The next morning she caught me AGAIN! I tried to hide behind the biggest mallow w**d in the paddock so she couldn’t see me, but apparently I looked like a pumpkin trying to hide behind a pea…rude! First I had the “Stand There & Look Pretty” class, & I was very good & didn’t attempt to Yeet mum so we got a ribbon! I then had to do another class where I had to do walk trot & canter, I was very tired by now, so I just listened to mum & was told I was a “Good Bubbles” & I got another ribbon! Plus lots of carrots from Granny ❤️

Maybe I should listen to Mum & then I get more carrots? Maybe I will think about this for the dressage this weekend 🧐🥕🥕🥕

Mum also says I need to apologise to the organisers & Judges for my behaviour on Saturday. And thank you to the two ladies who caught me for her. Apparently Judges come to Judge well behaved show horses & not feral trolls. I honestly thought they would like some excitement! 🤷‍♀️

Apparently I have 3 events in 3 weeks! I have been given a bath in anticipation. How dirty shall I get in a week? 🤣😈🦄 Also I am apparently NOT ALLOWED to do my drama llama interpretive dance moves that I busted out at my dressage events last year, mum is so mean!

I am a proper “Dressage Queen” now! I did my first two Graded dressage events! First we went to CHB dressage & we won’t say much about the first test as mother did not have her 💩 together & I got 10mins warmup! I showed my displeasure by doing my best Drama Llama impression! Mother was more organised for the 2nd test & we cracked 60%! Then we went to NHB dressage where there was another event on & lots of loud music & people in Spandex! I thought mother had lied to me & had tricked me into another A&P show! So I was distracted for the first test, but I improved as the show went on & by Sunday afternoon I no longer cared about the spandex people & got a rosette! Of course mum has stolen it, but she swapped it for more than its weight in carrots, so I forgive her! Apparently we are going to Dannevirke next for dressage & we are going to be “camping”. This sounds like extra treats I reckon! 🦄

So once again for my birthday (& mums), we got up at stupid o’clock & went “showing”. So yesterday mum thought doing Led Classes in a billion mile per hour winds was a great idea! I may have acted like a 600kg horse shaped kite a couple of times, I swear the wind lifted me in the air! 😱 I did come back down to earth & got Reserve Champion Led horse which was kindly sponsored by the Tunnicliffe Family which got me many carrots. 🥕😋. Then today, on our shared birthday mum said we had to do ridden showing. I was not too sure about it, but got better as the first class went on & I got Reserve Champion Novice Riding Horse which was kindly sponsored by Minden Equine Limited. The Judge said I was lovely & beautiful & I just need more outings. This got me more carrots! 🥕😋 I was then a very good girl in my Novice paced & Mannered as I didn’t have to share the ring with anyone & I liked that much better. I then thought I was finished & had a nap & a snack, but then Mum got on again & Said we had to do the .nz Thoroughbred class, I warmed up ok, but then I spotted what mum called “sideshow rides”! There were people screaming, I was not impressed & told mum so, but she said I had to get used to it. I was a bit upset still, but I didn’t yeet mum & give her her own special sideshow ride so she said I was a good girl & the nice organisers found a spare 5th ribbon for us so we didn’t have to do the walk of shame by ourselves out of the ring ❤️. Mum said overall I was the best Bubbles & with more outings I will be less distracted. I might even let her take me showing again if there are more carrots.🤔🦄

Today mum took me to the HB A&P Spring Show Warm-up! I was a “Good Bubbles” 😇 & got Reserve Champion Led horse. Then just when I thought I was going home…mum put the saddle on! Apparently I am a big girl now & have to do ridden showing! Mum said it was just like the led classes but instead she was riding…I beg to differ, I had to trot whole circles! I had to canter! That doesn’t happen in led classes! I was very confused especially by horses being behind me, there weren’t horses behind me when I did my race trials! But I was again a “Good Bubbles” & won 2 of my classes, plus Granny had a good supply of carrots, so I might let them take me “Ridden Showing “ again! 🦄❤️
