April is Autism Awareness Month 💙
But for many of us, autism isn’t just something we “become aware” of for one month — it’s our everyday reality. It’s in the small wins that feel huge, the moments that require extra patience, and the strength our tamariki show in a world that isn’t always built for them.
Autism is not a one-size-fits-all experience. It’s not just what you can see on the surface. It’s sensory overload, it’s communication differences, it’s big emotions in little bodies — and it’s also joy, unique perspectives, deep passions, and incredible resilience.
This month, let’s move beyond awareness and into understanding, acceptance, and inclusion.
✨ Listen without judgment
✨ Support without expectation
✨ Include without conditions
To the parents, caregivers, teachers, and support people — you are doing an amazing job, even on the hard days.
And to our autistic children — you are not too much, you are not “wrong,” you are exactly who you are meant to be.
Let’s keep creating spaces where every child feels safe, supported, and valued — not just this month, but always 💙
Together we play
Together we learn
Together we belong
