The season has finished after a very enjoyable day playing in the club’s closing day. Sheryl turned the day into a fun day. Leads became skip for the first game. Followed by a game playing left handed. Something totally different. There was a lot of wayward bowls and laughter. The game after lunch we all had to wear wigs. What a beautiful lot. The winning team today was Peter’s team with four wins and second team was Kevin’s team with 2 wins. The day finished with a lovely afternoon tea.

What a great day for our last tournament for the season. The weather man played ball today, with plenty of sun all day, which made for great bowls.
Our sponsor for this tournament was Palm Motel Waihi.
The club would like to thank Sian and Loz for their generous sponsorship, including the great lunch they put on. Without their sponsorship we would not be able to play bowls and have an enjoyable time playing the game either.
Once again the green played exceptionally well thanks to Kevin Lockley and his green staff and to Merle for managing the kitchen.
The days results are as follows: First place went to Andy and his team from Hauraki Bowling Club. Second place was won by Sian and her team from Waihi Beach Memorial RSA Bowling Club. Third place went to D Cooper and his team from Thames Bowling Club. The best Paeroa team was Danny and his team.
Thanks for all the competitors who played today to make such an enjoyable occasion. The club hope to see you all again next season starting in September.

What a great days for bowls today. A whole day playing bowls without rain. Our triples tournament was sponsored today by Combined Contractors and Shelley represented the company and presented the prizes to the winning teams. Our Club would like to thank Shelley on behalf of Combined Contractors for their sponsorship. Without their help we wouldn’t be able to hold this tournament.
There was great bowls played today and everybody was enjoying themselves. The green played exceptionally well, thanks to Kevin and the greens staff. One of our Paeroa teams skipped by Maisie and her team took out Ist place. This was a great achievement considering our teams are drawn teams not individually selected.
The days results are as follows. First place went to Maisie Jones and her team from the Paeroa Bowling Club. Second place was won by Alan Burwell and his team from Katikati Bowling Club, Third place was taken out by Garry Hewitt and his team from Waihi Bowling Club. The best Paeroa Team went to Kevin Lockley and his team.

Guess what, we were able to hold our club’s Triples Tournament today. Mr weather man was kind to us. The club has lost 5 tournaments this season due to the weather. A hit to the clubs cash flow. Everybody appeared to have enjoyed themselves with good bowls being played, including Zack a 14 year old school boy from Paeroa College. He was playing in his first tournament, thanks to Sian and Loz for allowing him to play in their team and coming away with second prize.
The sponsors today were Scotty’s Wheels and Tyres and Unichem Pharmacy. The club really appreciates our sponsors. Thank you for your support.
The days results are as follows. First place went to Lindsey Brown’s team from Waihi Beach Memorial RSA Bowling Club. Second place was won by Sian Wickliffe’s team from Waihi Beach Memorial RSA Bowling Club including Zack from Paeroa Bowling Club. Third place was taken out by Earl White’s team from Waihi Beach Memorial RSA Bowling Club. The best Paeroa team went to Kevin Lockley’s team.
Thanks also goes to Merle for putting on a great afternoon tea and to Kevin and Peter for preparing a great green.

Well, today we had our Junior Singles Tournament. The weather was fine but the wind was significant and both Walter Stokes and Rick Eastham got into it. The games were very well fought out but eventually Wal came through as our champion. We must acknowledge Rick also who played superbly and made it the championship it was. Thankyou everyone for assisting today and another great day at Paeroa Bowling Club.

Big day today with the first mowing of the #2 green. Thankyou you to those guys that helped mow and also spray.
This is an epic result for our club and special mention must go to Kevin Lockley for his drive to make this happen. It will become a huge asset for the club.
Lots of work to make it playable but so far it is coming along so well. Solid preparation is certainly paying off.
