🎉🏆 We're in the Top 8! 🏆🎉

Oxford Pony Club is thrilled to have been selected as one of the Top 8 finalists in Villa Park Equine's Charlotte's Garland & Prize Giveaway! 🐴✨

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who nominated and supported our club. Being recognised alongside so many fantastic equestrian clubs from around New Zealand is an honour.

If selected as one of the final 5 winners, the garland and prize pack would be used at our Oxford Pony Club Christmas Show Jumping Day on 13 December 2026. With around 100 competitors expected across all levels, it would be a wonderful addition to help make the day even more special for our riders.

Oxford Pony Club - New Zealand riders took part in the Amberley Cup Dressage recently, with Ruby, Sofia, Kayleigh and Cecelia representing the club.

The girls showed fantastic teamwork, determination and plenty of laughter throughout the day. Despite a hailstorm rolling through during warm-up, they kept their spirits high and continued to improve their dressage as the day went on.
When the weather turned cold, pizza and hot chocolates in the float helped keep everyone going! ☕🍕❄️

A big thank you to Amberley Pony Club for organising the event, and to all the judges, officials and volunteers who generously gave their time to make the day possible.

Well done girls on your resilience, positive attitudes and great team spirit! 🐴💙👏🌦️

The NZPCA Tetrathlon Team have departed New Zealand for Brisbane to take part in the Pony Club International Alliance (PCIA) Tetrathlon Exchange, hosted by Pony Club Australia

Our riders will compete alongside teams from Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland and the USA in an exciting few weeks of running, swimming, shooting and riding.

🎉 Oxford Pony Club – Big Weekend Round Up 🎉
What a fantastic weekend for Oxford Pony Club!

👏 Friday Night – Prizegiving 2025 Season
A huge congratulations to all our prize winners from the 2025 season. It was a great evening celebrating everyone’s hard work, progress, and achievements – well done to you all!

🌧️ Club Rally (Sunday Morning)
We were very grateful to make use of our all-weather arena, allowing the Club Rally to go ahead despite the conditions. Having this facility makes such a difference for our riders and horses.

🐎 Senior Canterbury Rally (Sunday Afternoon)
In the afternoon, we were proud to host the Senior Canterbury Rally at our grounds. The weather cleared, making for a great afternoon of riding, with everyone showing fantastic determination and positive attitudes. A big thank you to Michelle Wardell for organising the rally – we really appreciate all the effort that goes on behind the scenes to make these events happen.

On Monday, we were delighted to present Eyreton Pony Club with the Fleetwood First Start Teams Trophy for 2026. The trophy was kindly presented by Alison Fleetwood.🏆

Alison also presented Ceclia with the Oxford Pony Club Member Rider trophy for the most points. 🏆

Tim and Alison are Patron and Life Members of Oxford Pony Club and we sincerely appreciate their ongoing support. 🫶

A big shout out to our amazing team of members! So many hours go into organising an event like this, along with all the hard work over the weekend to make it run smoothly – thank you!

🎉🏆Congratulations to Eyreton Pony Club for taking out the Fleetwood First Start Trophy at our First Start ODE 2026!

🥇 1st Place: Eyreton Pony Club
🥈 2nd Place: Springston Pony Club
🥉 3rd Place: Oxford Pony Club

Unfortunately, the remaining teams did not finish with three live riders.

We will be in touch with Team Managers to arrange presentation of the trophy and ribbons for each club.

Dear Competitors,

As you all know our results have been delayed and I thank you all for your patience while resolving this issue.
I have had some questions regarding query time after the results get publicly posted, after much deliberation and consultation with many people across the country as well as the Oxford Pony Club organising committee, this is our final decision given the circumstances and nature of a first start event.
Results will get published and there will be NO protest time. We have looked over the new results numerous times and are confident they are correct; any jump faults were justified in the fence judge books and made sense to us when we cross-checked all of our paperwork.

A First Start event should be entirely about the children and them completing the day having done all phases of the event to the best of their ability, not about places or ribbons/prizes. First starts should be a learning opportunity for kids and also parents who may be new to eventing or returning to eventing.

Given these circumstances, my emails are completely open for questions and positive discussions- not just regarding this event but any eventing question you may have in the future. Please take this opportunity to ask me anything you may be unsure about- no judgement!

Again, this is a learning opportunity, and no results will be changed after they have been posted, however questions are always welcome.

I personally thank you all so much for your patience and understanding.
