Congratulations to Josh Huddleston and Isaac Farrell who have been selected for the Southern Region Topp Cup and Development sides respectfully.

Huddleston has been a star player for Owaka for numerous seasons and has been rewarded for his form this season.

Farrell is one of Owaka's Telford Scholarship players who has excelled in multiple positions so far this season alongside all the other Telford boys who we are so lucky to have brought into our family this season.

Well done men.

Apologies for the quietness on this page.

The Swamp Hens have been travelling reasonably well and are still in top four contention after the first round. Today is a special day for us as we get to participate in Clinton's 140th Jubilee. By participate, i mean spoil their party.

We have plenty of hard work ahead of us today, but the Bill Mitchell Memorial Trophy is one we hold dear!

After our first win of the season last weekend the Swamp Hens welcome Clutha to town with the Art Bloxham Cup on the line. 2008 is a long time between drinks so you won't want to miss our first win over the Steamers since then TODAY.

See you on the sidelines as we go to battle for our community!!

Congratulations to Taine Duthie and Logan Morrell who are poised to make their debuts for Owaka off the bench. Another congratulations to Sam Hancox who makes his first start for the Hens at halfback!

Our Premier Swamp Hens are playing their first home game of the season tomorrow against Toko. This match is massive for many reasons.

We have two memorial trophies on the line including the Dean Miller Memorial which once again gets to be contested by Daniel Miller who will lead the Hens out into battle.

The next piece of motivation goes to Craig McCormick who plays his 100th match for the Hens tomorrow. Craig first entered the fray thanks to Stuart Kelly who pushed him Owaka's way and he and his awesome family have become a part of the Owaka rugby furniture. Craig drives past at least two other rugby clubs to get to Owaka training twice a month which shows his utmost commitment and love for the Owaka Club, players, and supporters alike.

We can't wait to go to war tomorrow!
