A massive weekend of cricket for the Bandits which spreads over two days. Firstly, we head to Milton today to take on our good mates the King Crabs in the forty over competition which should be a cracker with a special away strip being used.

Tomorrow, we head to Alexandra to play in the Otago Countrywide T20 final. We are proud to be representing the South and having a crack on a grass wicket against what will no doubt be a strong central side. A massive welcome to Charanjeet Singh who has signed for us. We can't wait to C you get into your work tomorrow and beyond!

T20 GRAND FINAL

What an occasion to be a part of today as the Bandits take on the Swans in the T20 final as part of Max's Big Bash For Cash.

We are expecting a massive crowd at the Balclutha Showgrounds as we go up against our favourite rivals, Waihola, in what is always a fun and tightly fought contest.

Club legend Jeremy Gray is bringing up a whopping 250 matches for Owaka in this match which is a suitable stage for J**z to celebrate on. Owaka's all-time leading run scorer will look to add to this tally and lead from the front again.

This final also gives us another opportunity to pay our respects to Warren Veitch and the boys will be donning the black arm bands again in this match.

T20 SEMI-FINAL

We are back home at the Outlaw Oval tomorrow with two pieces of business to attend to. Our T20 semi-final against Clutha is one of them as we attempt to lock in a spot on Finals Day next weekend.

An equally as important matter tomorrow is to play cricket to remember club legend Warren Veitch who sadly passed away this week. Veitchy is still inside the top five wicket takers in Owaka's history and has the most five wicket bags according to our statistician.

The team will wear black armbands tomorrow to honour Warren and will be determined to get the job done on his behalf!

DOUBLE HEADER DAY!!

Exciting times at Bandits HQ as we approach Double Header Day. Our first match tomorrow is against Clutha at Clutha in what is a huge occasion for us. Hayden Sheppard is bringing up his 100th match for the brothers in what has been a fantastic, and often selfless career to date. Shep gives everything for the Bandits, whether its umpiring for whole innings or fielding for the whole innings without bowling and batting 11, the great man has worked his way to becoming one of our best bowlers and has been rewarded with South Otago leading wicket taking honours. Also voted last season as the Most Likeable opposition player by other teams which is a huge accolade. Congrats mate, go well.

The afternoon match sees us head to Kai to take on the Kings in a top of the table clash. Another huge battle, and one the lads are frothing for!!

The Bandits are on tour this weekend to take on Waihola at Milton. Another strong looking side to go to battle. A massive congratulations to Sam Bastin who finally makes his debut for Owaka after many seasons of love from afar. Sam will fit straight into the Owaka way of life and add plenty I'm sure!

THE BANDITS ARE READY!

What an occasion to be a part of this weekend at the Outlaw Oval in Owaka as we take on the defending T20 champions Milton in the first match of the T20 competition and the new season.

Not only this, we celebrate a huge milestone being brought up by our Skipper Quentin Gare. Quentin is playing his 200th match for Owaka in what has been a huge career so far. Q is still by far one of the premier bowlers in the competition and his leadership is second to none.

Let's all get behind Quentin and the Bandits as we crack into another fantastic season on Saturday. 12:00pm start. Bring the family.

The big dance. The last hurrah. Finals footy. It's all come down to this weekend. After many weekends of tight battles, the South Otago 40-over final sees us playing the Waihola Swans at the Milton Showgrounds, tomorrow 1pm.
