Xtreme Sport Horses operates from a property located in Te Horo on the Kapiti Coast, which is known to be one of the mildest climates within New Zealand. We are 5 mins from the beautiful Otaki beach and just one hour from Wellington City/International Airport. Our property comprises of 50 flat acres, which has been developed into a top breeding and show jumping yard, our facilities include an 80m
x 40m all surface arena (which includes a 40m free jump wall), round yard, horse walker, outside yards, semen collecting phantom, breeding mare crush, and includes paddocks all varying sizes; plus an open stable complex which comprises 10 covered yards, 4 stables (including 2 x large stallion stables), and a laboratory. Xtreme Sport Horses compete a team of talented show jumpers on the competition circuit, showcasing the quality of our breeding operation. We have a specialised breeding programme combining the best show jumping stallions in the world with some of the best performed and bred mares in New Zealand. This is proving to be extremely successful with some fabulous young stock on the ground and older horses competing internationally with great success. The mares are all put in foal as 3-year-olds, and then following weaning they become part of the competition team from a 5-year-old. They help market and advertise the quality and capability of the horses that we are breeding. The boys will either be sold as youngstock or also join the competition team to develop through the age series classes. These elite performance horses are all offered for sale. They are aimed for all rider markets including Junior, Young, Amateur and professionals, with various types to suit all aspects of equestrian disciplines, ie: show jumping, eventing, equitation, dressage, show hunter, and all-rounders. We have over 70 horses, including the two Licensed Holsteiner Stallions, Corofino II and Cassiano. In addition, there is a large competition team, a carefully selected broodmare herd and quality line up of youngstock that we have bred there. With world class breeding, incredible types and awesome temperaments, they certainly have bright futures as performance horses. Our horses are all broken in correctly, well handled, and cared for. They have always been kept in superb condition from the day they are born, including expert nutrition, regular worming, feet trimming and dental care, to ensure they get the best start to life. We pride ourselves on being a very professional establishment, that breeds superior sport horses that are correctly raised, trained and produced from the beginning.
