Our club exists as the primary provider of gymnastics for children within the Bay of Islands area, offering a range of classes to suit most skill levels in a fun & safe environment.

MERCI BEAUCOUP, Manon! 🇫🇷 Like a French whirlwind, Manon Cariven arrived in the Bay and threw herself straight into helping coach our competitive programme, twice a week, voluntarily 😱 She brought energy, handstand competitions, and some très, très brutal drills that are now firmly part of the senior comp arsenal. The girls loved it… mostly 😅

You may not have been here long, but you made a big impact. All the girls will miss you... though we suspect your "gym coach twin" Rach might miss you the most!

Come back soon, Manon. You’ll always be part of the BOIG whānau! 💙🩵🤸‍♀️

She would never mention it… Our very own Head Coach & President Rachel Henare achieved a mind-blowing 91 per cent to pass her internationally recognised FIG level 2 WAG practical exam. Up-skilling in Canberra whilst the rest of us have a gym break. Thank you and CONGRATS! So proud 👍✈️🦘🤸🏽

While photographer Kirsty is busy polishing the photos from yesterday’s epic prizegiving 🤸🏽, we couldn’t let the moment pass without giving a special shout-out to some local legends, Luke & Anna Romeyn from Romeyn Woodcrafts (based in Haruru) who recently repaired one of our very precious gymnastics trophies - the Franklin Gamble trophy awarded to BOIG’s GYMNAST OF THE YEAR since 1985 - and did an absolutely beautiful job.

Romeyn Woodcrafts create bespoke trophies for all occasions, all hand-made from native New Zealand timber. Their work ranges from simple keepsakes to stunning one-off masterpieces. 🏆 We’re so grateful for the craftsmanship and care - it truly adds something special to moments like yesterday 💙🩵 Check out their work here or at the Packhouse Market:

What a monster of a day! 🐝 Whilst the tūīs danced around the flax bushes an extremely epic dream team set to work. Thank you to everyone that came and rolled up their sleeves 🙏 A highlight? When Paul from NZ Yacht Services installed a climbing rope that the girls and Coach Rachel Henare immediately started playing on (as if it was fun haha 🤷‍♀️!) 💪🏻😱
