⚽️ TOMORROW: ALEXANDRA 7-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT! 🔴🟢

The Matakanui Rangers are rolling into Molyneux Park tomorrow with TWO teams ready for action! 💪

🔴🟢 OPEN GRADE

A mix of Matak faithfuls and some fresh blood, with young guns Cooper Lerew and Ben McDonald making their debuts in the famous Matak colours! 🔥

🔴🟢 MASTERS GRADE

Pretty much the same crew as last year. A few more grey hairs, a few more sore joints, and Scott Unsworth still somehow convincing everyone he’s got another tournament in the legs. 😂🍺

There’s been plenty of banter leading into this one — some might call them s**t yarns — and the boys are well and truly pumped to get out there and see who can actually back it up! 🗣️🤣

So get yourselves down to Molyneux Park from 10am tomorrow to support both sides, enjoy the footy, and witness some world-class football… or at least some world-class excuses afterwards! 🍻⚽️

Up the MATAKANUI RANGERS! 🔴🟢❤️💚

💙⚽ Another special moment for the Rangers family today! ⚽💙

Our friendly against the Dunstan High School 1st XI saw another proud milestone for the club, with two more father-and-son combinations taking the field together in Rangers colours.

Congratulations to Luca and James Dixon, who are now added to the growing list of families who have had the privilege of playing together for the Rangers.

Joining them were Oakley and Brock Hinton, who also had the special opportunity to share the field with their dad, Kyle, making it a day to remember for both families.

These are the moments that make our club so special. It’s about more than just football—it’s about family, community, and creating lifelong memories together.

This is what the Rangers are all about. 💙

From coach Kelsey In the under 6s

⚽️ Soccer Player of the Day ⚽️

Today’s Soccer Player of the Day goes to Cruze! 👏

On a freezing -7°C frosty morning in Omakau, playing Alexandra across three games, Cruze showed real determination. After taking a solid ball to the nose in the first game, he picked himself up and kept going.
His hard work up front finally paid off, scoring two fantastic goals from a fair way back and showing exactly why he's an exciting young striker to watch.

An up-and-coming striker in the making! 🌟

Well done, Cruze! ⚽🥶💙
