A massive congratulations to Kaipaki Phoenix Club member Piper Russell on accepting a scholarship to Lenoir-Rhyne in North Carolina for next year!
We are so proud of you and looking forward to seeing you compete in the USA! 🇺🇸 🥍 💙💛💚

A massive congratulations to Piper and her family! Piper has accepted a scholarship to Lenoir-Rhyne in North Carolina for next year, to be coached by NZBLAX coach Shannon McHale. Piper has had a spectacular year of lacrosse, competing in the u20s world Championships, being named tournament MVP at the u18 NZ nationals, and then competing at the women’s world championship qualifier recently in Australia where she was the youngest member of the team.

We are so proud of you Piper and can’t wait to follow your lacrosse journey to the USA! Kia Kaha!

Note: There are more opportunities for scholarships to lacrosse players in NZ than for many other sports. To date WLA has had a growing number of athletes offered and accept scholarships, start your journey today, contact WLA for more details on how this can be done.

Kia ora all, training again at Kaipaki this Thursday from 6-7:30pm.

A fantastic turnout last week at the first muster. Lovely to see lots of new faces and plenty of familiar faces back again for another year repping Kaipaki - wahoo!

Please remember sticks, mouth guards, goggles, turf shoes, and a drink bottle and be ready to go at 6pm. Also note the earlier finish time this week as we encountered a problem with the lights - the property manager has been notified.
