Congratulations Sayde Kawau, 🥇 GOLD for the NZ Women’s U18 relay team in the 4x100m. An awesome run by Sayde at 3rd leg to help the team into Gold medal contention!! Sayde ran a sharp 100m, just outside her PB to claim 7th. Well done Sayde 👏

A massive big North Otago Athletics Club (NOAC) GOOD LUCK to Sayde Kawau who is competing for the New Zealand Athletics team at the Oceania Athletics Championships in Darwin tonight!! A very proud moment for Kathryn Kawau, Dale and the family we're sure ☺️

Sayde started competing for NOAC when she was 9, she shifted to Hill City in Dunedin when she started boarding school down there.

What a fantastic opportunity for anyone keen on Cross Country running. You don't have to be a club member so let your friends know.

Athletics Otago is running a monthly cross country series for kids and teens this winter.
These sessions are designed to help young runners:
• learn cross country skills
• gain race confidence
• understand warm-ups, tactics & recovery
• prepare for Cross Country Nationals (Christchurch – 1 August)
Each session includes:
A short, easy run
A practical learning session
Snacks and connection time
DETAILS
Location: Caledonian Ground (sending to all clubs in case you have kids and teens that happen to be in Dunedin on these dates)
🕘 9:30–10:30am
Dates:
• Sunday 17 May – Recovery run + warm-ups & drills
• Sunday 21 June – XC-specific running + race tactics
• Sunday 12 July – Easy run + tapering for big races

On the 1st of April we held our annual prizegiving to recognise and celebrate all our club members and their achievements in the 2025/26 season 🥳. A great big THANK YOU to our Committee for organising the night 👏

During the season athletes accumulate points at club nights which, once tallied, determine who our Seasons Points winners are for boys and girls in each age group (recipients in the first photo).

The other competitive part of our club season are our club championships, these are run over the final 2 Wednesday nights in our season. Medals are awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd for boys and girl's in each age group (recipients in the first photo).

We also awarded a number of Club trophies, these were our lucky winners for this year.
