🌟 Meet Michelle Powell 🌟

Michelle is another valued member of our North Otago Netball Executive Committee and someone who is always willing to lend a hand wherever it's needed.

If you've spent time at junior netball, chances are you've seen Michelle on the sidelines supporting her daughter, helping out her club, or pitching in behind the scenes. She is a wonderful example of the many volunteers who quietly dedicate their time to our sport, often without recognition.

We are incredibly fortunate to have people like Michelle who give their time so generously to support our players, clubs, and community. Thank you, Michelle, for everything you do to help North Otago Netball thrive. πŸ’›πŸ

Meet Abbey McKenzie 🌟

If you've spent any time around netball in North Otago, chances are you've crossed paths with Abbey. Whether she's coaching, mentoring, developing coaches, supporting players, or helping grow the game behind the scenes, Abbey is a familiar face who gives so much to our netball community.

As our Coach Developer, Abbey brings an incredible amount of knowledge, experience, and passion to the role. She is dedicated to helping coaches grow and develop, which in turn creates better experiences for players across North Otago.

Alongside coaching at WGHS and with Valley Juniors, Abbey somehow manages to balance life as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, mum, wife, and the driving force behind Enhance Netball. How she fits it all in, we're still trying to work out!

What stands out most about Abbey is her commitment to helping others be the best version of themselves. Her enthusiasm for netball is infectious, and the positive impact she has on players, coaches, and our wider netball whānau is immeasurable.

We're incredibly lucky to have Abbey sharing her expertise, energy, and love for the game with North Otago Netball. Thank you for everything you do, Abbey! πŸ’›πŸ

Meet Petra Aspros – one of the incredible people who helps keep North Otago Netball thriving.

As our dedicated Treasurer, Petra gives countless hours behind the scenes ensuring everything runs smoothly. Her commitment, organisation, and willingness to help wherever needed make her an invaluable member of our netball whānau.

Petra's passion for the game extends well beyond the committee table. She is also the coach/player of the Athletics Senior A team and WGHS, where she inspires players to learn, grow, and enjoy their netball. Her positive attitude, encouragement, and love for the sport shine through in everything she does.

Alongside her many netball commitments, Petra is an amazing mum who somehow manages to juggle family life, coaching, committee responsibilities, and supporting our North Otago netball community with a smile.

WEEK 5 GOOD GUY OF THE WEEK 🌟

πŸ‘πŸ’™ Proudly sponsored by The Good Guys Real Estate

This week's winner is... πŸ₯ Siobhan Francis!
Siobhan has generously put her hand up to do all of our tournament umpiring. Nothing is ever a problem, and she always does it with a smile.
This week, Siobhan attended our Junior Quad Tournament in Dunedin. When one of our umpires was unable to attend, she stepped in and umpired an incredible 6 games without hesitation.
On top of that, she has also made herself available to umpire at both Otago Secondary Schools and Junior SISS this weekend.
Siobhan's dedication, positivity, and willingness to help wherever needed make her a valued part of our netball community. We are incredibly grateful for everything she does.
πŸ’™ Thank you for being such an amazing part of our netball community.

πŸ‘ Congratulations, Siobhan! πŸ‘

Meet the North Otago Netball Executive Crew!

Meet Kim 🌟

Where would North Otago Netball be without Kim?

As President of North Otago Netball, Kim is the driving force behind so much of what happens both on and off the court. Her dedication, leadership, and countless hours of volunteer work help keep netball thriving throughout our region.

Kim is often the first to step up when something needs doing and the last to leave when the job is finished. From supporting players, coaches, umpires, and clubs to helping shape the future of our game, her passion for netball is evident in everything she does.

Behind every successful season is an incredible amount of work, and Kim is at the heart of it all. Her commitment to creating opportunities for our players and ensuring North Otago Netball continues to grow is truly remarkable.
