Our very own Lowri Waugh took out Foundation Coach of the Year for 2025 at the Squash NZ Awards in Chch on Saturday night. Lowri, who is a committee member of the Oamaru Squash & Badminton Club, launched a Ladies into Squash initiative which saw 20 women take part with five joining as members. She also ran the junior squash stars programme for 10 weeks on Tuesdays in Term 3 and ran a junior social squash for teenagers on Monday nights. She has made herself available to coach any member from F through to B Grade and is passionate about growing participation at her club. Congratulations Lowri - it is wonderful to see your hard work recognised.
