SiroccoSurf offers custom made boards, fibreglass products and repairs, by Biggie Smithers. Boards include surfboards, longboards, kiteboards, foilboards, SUPs and and tow-in boards. Located on Surf Highway 45, Oakura, Taranaki, passionate rider Biggie (David) Smithers has been at this business since back in the day. 40 years of board building has meant Biggie has expertise and understanding to do

it right. He is a great designer/shaper, with the help of team riders. He has also developed widely accepted construction methods and produced some pretty innovative approaches to the build. Biggie has been building kiteboards over the last few years. A couple of the models are a strapless kiteboard for the surfer and a directional surfboard inspired by tow-in surfing. They are designed as boards to be surfed, because "we haven't stopped surfing, just paddling". These boards look like custom surfboards but they are also kiteboard tough with a PVC sandwich. All boards are New Zealand made quality, built to last by Biggie - the same as his own boards. People are amazed at their durability in all conditions and are seeking out the product as a result.
