Oakura BC Opening Day Sunday 20th September

The club warmly welcomes the Oakura community, experienced and/or new bowlers to join with the members for the Opening Day roll-up (all equipment provided) on Sunday 20th September starting at 1pm. These days are a great opportunity for the wider Oakura community to experience the club’s friendly hospitality and roll a few down. Opening Day also provides an opportunity to have any questions answered around membership, community bowls and the playing program for the upcoming season.

Great work ladies. All at Oakura proud of you.

It's a silver medal for our representatives at the Bowls New Zealand National Champion of Champions Women's Triples. Briar Atkinson, Tina Atkinson-Watt and Jackie Moeahu representing Paritutu, played exceptionally well but on the final end lost out to a strong team from Stoke 14-16.

Mark Noble and Kurt Smith are through to the Men’s Para Pairs Gold Medal Match! They will take on Trans Tasman rivals Jimmy Reynolds and Damian Delgado of Australia at 10.50pm NZT Sunday 2 August.

A win from Kurt Smith and Mark Noble against Singapore has seen our Para Men's Pairs qualify for the semifinals! One round left to play against England and then 2 matches to win Gold!

A win today against Scotland and halfway through section play at the Commonwealth Games, Kurt Smith (Oakura/Paritutu) and Mark Noble (Hawkes Bay) are on target for a place in the semifinals.
