Kai ora, Tane here whānau

We’re out fishing today and did a little tutorial on how to set a local mullet net. Now the net’s in the water and we’re pulling beautiful fresh sea mullet.

One trick to remember with mullet fishing , shallow is best. If you’re walking out past your knees on the incoming tide, you’re probably in the wrong spot. Mullet cruise in really close along the sandy beaches chasing the tide.

Today we ended up with about half a dozen fresh sea mullet. Good feed, good times, and a bit of knowledge shared along the way🤙🏼

Kia Ora Tane here, this was a beautiful day in Mangawhai catching fish living healthy simple life teaching my kids the knowledge that they can pass on.
My Wife & I spent many years living in Mangere Bridge & love it! I’m down there most Friday nights & all day Saturday it’s a beautiful place 🤙🏼
